Do you hug your friends?

No, I am a girl & I concider any form of physical contact to be sexual. I do not hug, hold hands with, or even touch the shoulder of friends. Naturaly, if I see two guys, two girls, or a guy & a girl doing any of these things, I assume they are in a relationship. Another reason is because I look down on public displays of effection. I remember making fun of off-campus couples in highschool.
I don't hug much. I'm never the hugger, always the huggee. I'm cool with some form of handshake thing, or the shoulder slap "you my bro, bro" thing, which is kind of a form of light hug, but I'm not big on traditional hugs.
The only people I want to hug are hot women.
I also consider hugs at least slightly sexual in nature, at least when between two people who aren't related.

I hug if they want a hug. I'm not the hugger, more the hugee. And my friends are very huggy ( very manly hugs) and is generally less of a greeting, more of a "nice job! man hug".
No friend of mine escapes getting a hug from me when I see them. Personally I find them highly enjoyable. I even hug folks I first met. Though to be fair they initiate it. Of course I'm a girl and a grand chunk of females, especially older ones are real big with hugs... Not that I don't have guys start the hug-fest. Most my friends are guys, they don't mind doling them out.
It's funny too because I used to be anti-touchy feely with a personal comfort level that was as far out as my arm span.
I find that the older people are more prone to giving them than the younger generation, maybe it's because they don't care as much about "appearance".

They tend to hug me first. In fact I never give hugs unless they hug me first or someone cajoles me into giving hugs... which I do not like doing.
There's no shame in hugging a mate you haven't seen for a while. Now I've got a few really good friends in France (I never knew what a lot of people here have against the French), and though it's a bit awkward and unusual (at least the first time), we give two kisses on the cheek when we see each other (which is every year or so), and a hug of course. Now this may, no.. this appears outright gay to everybody witnessing it, but it's their custom, and who am I to waylay somebody's culture. Plus I love them in a non-homosexual way, so who cares anyway. I know I'm straight, fluck everybody who thinks different.
I'm a girl so I guess it's not really an issue for me, but my husband really bear hugs his best friends & handshakes with his aquaintances.
I've seen his dad give him really big hugs too - there was no lack of affection in that house so I guess he just doesnt have hang ups about being in physical contact with another man.
