I like Spore... still go back and take a new species to space once in awhile. It's simple, but fun, and it encourages silly creativity.
Same here.I admit I just create stuff (usually ships) for the most part now though.

I love Halo, with all my heart, yet it seems like some people here think it's the Anti Christ of gaming, along with Call of Duty.

Does Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophesy) count?

It's been getting a lot of hate, especially for the somewhat far-fetched conclusion, but I personally had a great time from start to finish.

And it IS, overall, better than Heavy Rain!

WET.
I'll be the first to admit that it was flawed and would have greatly benefitted from a bit more time and some better decisions, but the game had style. The grindhouse-tribute theme was executed without a hitch, the music was just right, Rubi was a damn smooth protagonist, and slow motion dual-wielding pistol action is just fun. It set out to be a game with carefree entertainment and an "I don't give a f**k" chirp, and it worked, infectiously so.

I'm greatly looking forward to the sequel. All I believe it needs is variety, and perhaps a few new mechanics so that there's less of a reliance on quick-time events.

Too Human seems to have gotten a fair bit of critical scorn, but I love it.
Alpha Protocol too, love it, don't care what anyone says, it's awesome.

While it wasn't wildly hated, I really liked Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. I need to the second one and I know a third is on the way. It wasn't hated but nobody ever really talks about it.
Having played the third one at a friend's home, it's not as good as the second. They cut a bunch of stuff. Second one was great, though. Beats regular DW, even.

As for me? Planescape: Torment and Legacy of Kain. Not actually kidding. I know it's VERY far from universal, but strictly speaking for most (not all, but close) of the people I know, the amount of hate those games get is unbelievable.

Also, FF9. Of the FF games, at least, it's one of the less popular ones. Something about the art style, apparently.

Yeah, I like the way most people have said Halo/Final Fantasy/Call of Duty games. They don't seem too hated to me...

Maybe it is just a few people blowing their own hate for the games out of proportion...

Im under the impression that most people either disliked or hated Army of Two. I didnt think the gameplay was THAT bad and the weapon customization was great

When your character jumps off of skyscrapers he lands without even bending his knees, that is just awesome.
I have never really heard any hate for that game but I did also love it. I remember having one of my favorite weapons being the turtle rocket super powerful but you can walk faster than it.

Going old school I like the Friday the 13th game and Castlevania 2 Simon's quest on the NES. Sure they are confusing at first but once you learn everything they are a lot of fun.

I don't care if The first Resident evil has horrible production values, its still the scariest horror game short of the System Shock series.

Bioshock 2 was a pretty good game. I think it mainly suffered because there was no need for a sequel. Aside from that though, the story is passable and the gameplay is strong. The level design and atmosphere are both great, and the voice acting holds up pretty good too. Just imagine it as a stand alone, not a sequel, and it looks much better.

I just looked at the games I own and I saw Rome/Empire Total war Fallout 1/2/3, TES 3/4, Mass effect 1/2, Crap load of valve games, COD 2/4, Dragon age, bioshock,Guitar hero 3/4/6, KotOR 1/2

Oh there we got I love KotOR 2.

I tend not to gamble when I buy games now. I have over 200 for PS1/Xbox/Xbox 360/PC but I don't buy that many anymore. The only games I'm getting this year are Mass effect 3 and The elder scrolls 5.

Halo and Call of Duty series, and sports games as a whole.
I don't think that's people in general, just people on these forums. Most people love those games, as do I. But people here like bashing things that are popular (ie make a FF7 thread and it'll be filled with people hating on it).
Well, that can be said for almost any game, thus making this virtually an impossible question, because you'd then have to assume a game could/would be hated by 99% of gamers but liked by 1%. That's not true because it all comes down to who you're talking. For example, if I were to say "I like Guitar Hero" my friends would hound on me because they all play RockBand and like Rock Band so much more. But if I were to simply go to the Guitar Hero forums, I would find tons of people who not only like Guitar Hero, but also people who like Guitar Hero and hate Rock Band, and find people who love Guitar Hero, hate Rock Band, and hound on anyone who defends Rock Band. Point is,for every game, there will be at least one person who loves it, one person who likes it, one person who dislikes it, and one person who will hate and despise it.

I'll say the Killzone games, because any time I see them in discussion, people can't stop bitching about them.

Yeah, me too. So much fun with my friend, even if the frequent death scenes did take up about half of that play time.

The dialogue alone was worth it.

"I'm gonna kill you both, drain out all your blood, take out your bones, put your body in a big chair with some elves and reindeer, and sit on your lap and tell you all the cool shit I want for Christmas."
