Do you like Warhammer 40,000?

I think, storywise, it's excellent. However, I'm not willing to spend $400 on some little plastic men to put on a table. As such, I read Eisenhorn and Ciaphas Cain, play Dawn of War quite frequently, and will occasionally draw Space Marines in my spare time. I just stay the hell away from the tabletop game. I love the backstory that was set up and people like Dan Abnett and the team at Relic are doing an excellent job fleshing it out. Games Workshop itself, however, seems to be perfectly happy doing nothing more than selling figurines at ludicrously high prices for what is frankly a rather dull game. It's why the plot will never advance further unless it allows GW to peddle more plastic.

Yes, I do like it. It is a cool universe that I can in no way, ever, afford. PC RTS gaming will have to suffice.

This is one of the main problems with current 40k, all this Time of Ending crap, they are making it too grimdark, doomed and "OMG Imperium is screwed" for even a completely addicted fanboy like myself to swallow. Plus the price hikes, which seems to be due to GW's corporate staff being laid off Boots (the pharmacy) executives that don't seem to understand that a pharmacy and a model manufacturing company need different business models.

That said, I still really like 40k and continue to build my model collection, play the games and read the books.

Yes, I play both the tabletop game and the RTS games. I am a huge fan of the Necrons, cheap as they may be. How could you not like them? They're immortal, robotic aliens with weapons that strip the flesh off the bone in seconds!

I played the first PC game but didn't get any of the expansions. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't say it was amazing. The tabletop game looks like a lot of fun though.

Indeed I do, money and space limitations mean I'm not as avid a collector as I once was,
but I still have some of my bad moon Orks and other assorted miniatures, both 40,000 and fantasy sitting on the shelves.

I played 40k and Fantasy in HS and it will always hold a special place in my heart. The stories, characters and designs are simply amazing. I no longer play the table top game, but do enough Dawn of War on the PC. It's good to see people are still playing it and care for it as much as I do.

I detest Warhammer 40K. My friends all love it, and I eventually agreed to try playing it, but to me, it's a compilation of all the worst parts of an RTS combined with the constant bickering about rules that I can't even follow since I don't understand half of the terminology. It's the kind of game for a richer and more patient man than I.

It's a good hobby to get into tabletop wise. Video game wise it's been awesome through the DoW series and will get better with Space Marine. I personally enjoy it

Simply put, warhammer 40k is the shits. I join on with the rts video game and loved it, and it has some amazing lore, even makes warcrafts look like shit IMO.

Fucking loved the Horus Heresy novel "Fulgrim" and Noise Marines in general, it makes me sad that it's so hard to find good Slaanesh artwork sometimes. D:
