I have two copies of Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube. One that I bought when it was first released, and the second I bought a few weeks ago. I had lent it out some time back and when it was returned I only got disk two back. I finally just now got around to buying it again/caved and paid the 25 bucks the used store wanted.

I also have Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9 in both physical and digital forms. I like being able to play them on my PSP.

I have a couple of duplicates, though most of them stem from getting a copy of a game i already owned with some Game Magazine a year or two down the road. As to games where i got multiple copies on purpose

- WoW + expansion packs
- Rainbow Six 3 + Athena Sword
- Neverwinter Nights + expansion packs
- Sacred

Playing MP/online with the ex + i actually like giving devs money for a good product.

There are a couple of old games I have multiple copies of. Mainly charity shop finds. I got a second copy of System Shock 2 for £1 that way. :D

i've got at least 2 copies of every Fallout game (excluding BoS, of which i own a happy zero, and New Vegas, of which i currently only own 1). also 2 copies of Diablo 1 and 2, StarCraft, WoW, Star Wars Battlefront... and i think that's it. wait, no... 2 copies of the old Baldur's Gate games, too (well, at least 2 of some of them).

I have two "copies" of Portal- one on my Mac which was free, because it was to celebrate the launch of Steam on Apple computers.
Because my Mac could barely run the game at a decent frame rate for some of the time, I then downloaded a better version of Portal off XBLA.

Chrono Trigger. I have the original cartridge for the SNES, the re-release on the PS1, and the re-release on the DS. It's like some sort of compulsion.

Only with games that I really like.
In those cases what'll happen is that I'll play a game on the console, play it to death, still not be sick of it, so I get it for the PC for the mods.
It's usually one game per generation: Fallout 3 (ps3 & PC), San Andreas (PS2 & PC), and before that it was Unreal Tournament which I first got for the PC but later got for the Dreamcast when I saw it for cheap.

There's also Portal 2 but I see a lot of people not counting that because it was a 2fer: I didn't buy 2 different copies.

Yeah, Dragon Age and Mass Effect. For both I have a version for the Xbox and a PC version.

Basically, the problem was, I bought the XBox versions first and then realised that the control and ability set-up was complete arse and went and bought the PC versions because then I could actually play the damn game properly.

Oh, and I own 2 copies of Ed Hunter, basically because one of the Music CDs was scratched and you get the game for free with the music.

Awesome game though!

Two copies of CoD: 4 (PC/PS3)

That's all. I had two copies of Bioshock at one time.

The only game I own multiple copies of is Fallout 3.

I made the mistake of buying it on PS3, then everyone except the PS3 got all the DLC.

I ended up later picking the GOTY version up on steam for $10 or something.

Dragon Age: Origins. Bought in on PlayStation 3, weird law which says DLC could only be released on either disc or as an actual download but only for the PS3, So Awakenings never came out on disc in the UK for PS3, and it cost about 30 pound on the PSN Store, so I bought DA:O on Xbox 360 with Awakenings.

At one point I had two copies of Gears of War 2, because my cousin left his copy at my house and then moved to another state a few weeks later. He never mentioned it so I ended up giving his copy to my girlfriend.

I also had two copies of LOTR: Return of the King, one for Game Cube and the other for PC, but this was years ago, and I ended up losing the PC version.

Other than that, I only have single copies of games. If I should somehow come into possession of more than one copy, I sell the extra or give it away.
