There are a few people i know of who play 40k here but i was wondering how many of you do and what your armies are. My armies are : space marines, imperial gaurd chaos space marines, orks, eldar and last but not least Dark eldar

each of their specific chapters/regiments/craftworld/kabals/etc: Crimson Fists, 27th Kanastanei "black Dragons", Word Bearers, Red sunz/speed freaks, Biél tann and finally the kabal of The shattered alliance

I'm one of those incredibly annoying people (or at least, I'm annoying to all people I've ever met in the local GW) that doesn't really collect. I build and paint for the enjoyment and for display. Surprisingly though, I've managed to amass a large force of Salamanders, including a leader made of about 30 different parts from across both 40k and fantasy XD

I've several armies on the go now:

Space Marines - The Heralds of Death (own Chapter), Black Templars, Dark Angles, Space Wolves.

Imperial Guard - Devylryn 12th (own Regiment, and incorporates any and all Guard modesl that come my way since I love converting)

Chaos - Sons of Malal Traitor Legion, plus Traitor Guard regiment in same colours. Includes all Daemons represented in Malal based colours.

Amongst others, but they're the main ones.

I CURRENTLY have a Tzeench Chaos army (NOT Thousand Sons. Proper marines :p) and am in the process of converting an army of Imperial Guard urban combat veterans, which is far more trouble than I thought it'd be...

Damn thee the fun part about making them and assembling a large force is to use them to crush people.

i find it really fun to utterly destroy the smurfs all the lil kids use with the awesome fire power of dark eldar, ahhh nothing like disheartening people who scoffed and laughed at your "crap" army when their entire army lays in waste and you have only lost about four

Yeah. Warhammer 40,000 isn't very popular here and the imperial guard are the very least popular. They didn't have any more, so I just bought some cadian troopers and a leman russ, all of which I will, hopefully, convert into steel legion troops.

I'd like to start sometime myself, but moving around every two to three years makes it difficult. Shipping miniatures is a pain in the ass and they get broken frequently in transit, so I don't bother.

The Imperial Guard of the 1st Doric Brigade, The Lacedonian Guard!

But I badly need to update my army to get with the new codex. I need 4 more Leman Russ and a Vendetta for a start!

No, I don't but I do have an old 1st ed ork army of a few thousand points along with a small assortment of 1st ed eldar and marines (mainly deathwing terminators for use with space hulk), a few chaos mini's and a load of marine/imperial stuff from Epic/space marine or whatever it's called (the one with really tiny vehicles & Titans and stuff). A few fantasy odds and ends too. All late 80's/early 90's...think I might have a limited editon marine captian given aay with games day 199..er..something.
