Do you buy some games just for the achievements, do you just naturally pick them up as you god, DO YOU CARE?

I personally find that achievement hunting really brings out the best of games, with over 65K gamerscore :D

I will choose a game for the Xbox over the PS3 because of the achievements, but I will never buy a game ONLY for the achievements

If they suck, then yes. Yeah, I admit it! [small]Although having Gamefly certainly makes it all the more tempting.[/small]

The most recent one I played was Shellshock 2, and I coulden't even finish the bloody thing. It was just that bad!

I tend to get games for fun, sometimes I pursue achievements if I think it'll add to the fun. But I refuse to buy a game just for the achievement points, and I wont go out of my way to do something completely un-fun for an achievement.

[small]That said, I have Loremaster in WoW...[/small]

It depends. Like if my cousin starts bragging about his GS versus mine i get an easy game and blow through it real fast.

65K gamerscore, congrats.

I would never buy a game for the achievements, but I do really like getting them.

I sometimes read through them and try and get them if they are easily attainable. For example, the one in CoD4 when you stab a half dead enemy with your knife or 3 knife kills in a row.

I dont replay games to get achievements or have ever gotten 1000G on a game. Closest ive come to that is like 700G in a few games which are generous

I never buy games purely for the gamerscore. I have neither the financial means nor the attitude towards money/spending to ever do such a thing. I, however, will spend significant amounts of time trying to get achievements in games when the fun has more or less drained from the game.

God no. Achievements are nice and all but I play games too have fun. Some people like collecting them though so I say, "Cool, thats your thing." but I personally don't get that involved. In a weird turn of events however, I tend to get most the achievements on any game I play because I usually play the hell out of it anyway.

Once in awhile I'll detour in a game to get a Steam achievement, but for the most part I don't give a flying crap about them. Although as Mr. Apocalypse Lane pointed out, playing the games to death tends to be good for the gamerscore.

Oh, well all I play a game. Then I don't buy a new one until I have all of the achievements. (Multiplayer does NOT count)

I really, really, really couldn't care less about achievements and collectibles.

I didn't at first, but now I'm becoming somewhat of an achievement whore. I'm feeling compelled to rent Avatar. :/

I bought Fallout 3 because I heard it was an easy Platinum, and seeing how good of a game it was I figured what the hell.
