It's alright, I feel the same way.

Anyway, I suppose you could say girls because I have met few other guys that I can actually have a 2-3 hour conversation with and it feel meaningful.
I just don't really give a damn. It's more of a "based on your personal stereotypes of a gender, which is better to be with?"
Which is, for me, the empathetic, caring woman.

Can't stand various other types though, but I really can't stand 'bros' either, so...:/

Yeah, no, I prefer no company most of the time come to think about it. I love being with my girlfriend and like two friends of mine but that's about it. The rest of them just leave me in silent contempt when I can't believe they got their money back for Fallout 3 because they couldn't find Megaton and thought it was boring.

It's odd for me. I prefer having involving conversations with females, but have significantly more male friends. I think (in my experience) women are more likely to be at either pole of social meshing; they are either great and we get along dandy, or they're just not that interesting to me. While with guys, most of them are in the middle, where I can enjoy hanging around them, but I can't really open up (of course there are those few scumbags, but they're not in my social circles in great numbers, thank god). If I'm in a situation where I don't know many (or any) people and the genders are represented equally, I'll always spend most of my time with men, whereas if I'm in a situation where the vast majority of the people in the room are females, I'm extremely comfortable and have a smashing good time. So, really, it's quite a complicated thing for me. If it's a one-on-one situation, I prefer effeminate men or manly women, rather than an individual who is a portrait of their gender's stereotypes. Although both my boyfriend and my female best friend aren't like that so much... Hm, the mystery lives on.

I have never really thought about this and I can't say that I have a clear preference. I think that a mix is better because with a group that consist solely of one gender tend to get very onesided. If I am among a group of girls who talk about makeup or their period or somesuch it gets... well, weird, and on the other hand with guys it tends to get overly manly.
It all depends on personality though.

Not much you can do about it, except realise not everyone's like that: something I've had trouble with in the past, but getting better at it every day. So don't write off an entire genre gender, you could be missing out.
Oh, sure, I don't write off having female friends, it's just that developing a close friendship with other women is something I haven't really done. We don't have similar interests and I have enough of a masculine personality that other women find it really off-putting. From what I can tell, most women will *tolerate* this in men, but they expect other women to agree with them and when I don't, I get the cold shoulder. It doesn't really bother me--I don't have many close male friends, either. Being a Genuine Nerd I can go days or weeks without much in the way of interpersonal contact and be perfectly happy.

Most of the time I tend to hang out with guys, but that's mostly because I hang out with gamers.*washes his dice* Although that's not to say I don't hang around with women, it's just different.

Completely agree with you on this. I usually just end up going into a small group, and become really good friends with those guys or girls. Right now, I only have about... five people I enjoy talking to, one being my girlfriend, two being girls, and the other two being boys. And is it really that hard to find Megaton for them?

I have a pretty even mix of male and female friends, but I prefer hanging out with ladies more. Same gender wins, but only by a slight margin.

opposite, boys ^^ i've found in my experience that girls are back stabby and bitchy the few female friends i do have are very tom boyish.
i think the way guys sort out problems is better, theres none of this petty squabbling and bitching behind your back, you argue and fight and then its over. at least in my experienceXD
plus i dont have to make an effort to compete with all the other girls XD i'm female, like gaming, computors etc, don't cry when i break a nail, won't talk for hours about shoes and shit like that, and i can give any guy a run for his money in a fight...i've found more and more these are traits guys actually like XD

downside is...no one to go shopping with :(

I prefer my male friends to the female ones. They aren't bitchy and difficult. They've always been easier to get along with.

I have more chick friends than guy friends, I relate to girls more. I'm more wildly emotional, and girls understand that better.

I'm not going to lie, I prefur being in the company of women. They're easier to get along with usually, most guys I know are pricks.

Guys for sure...

Apart from my one tomboyish awesome girl friend, guys are generally cooler and annoy me less.
