Exactly, he's like the John Stewart/Stephen Colbert of video game reviewsMacgyvercas said:Of course. They're more comedy than anything else, not really meant to be taken seriously
Finally another sane person around here!Guido656 said:No, I take them as the absolute truth. Infact, I have written down his gaming words of wisdom into a bible form, which I keep next to my photo of him, in the woods, under my shrine to Yahtzee - surrounded by the limp, rotting bodies of the squirrels I sacrificed last wednesday in a bid to please the almighty review God.
This. This up and down. You sir, are the winner. Now if only they'd front-page your words.1(FN)Vendetta said:I find his 'reviews' funny and in most cases brutally honest. But what I find really funny is the general feel I seem to be getting from a majority of the posts on this thread.
"I don't like Yahtzee becuase he did'nt like My favorite game."
God your all so ignorant. DO you really need some twit like Yahtzee, or any other lucky SOB getting paid to review games to TELL YOU how great a game is that you already enjoy playing?
"I really like that game but...yeah it wasnt until Yahtzee said it was good that I truely enjoyed it on that next level..."
ROFL.
DO you really need one of these idiots reviews to convince you to buy a certian game? Are you so undecisive that you need some one elses opinion to get you over the hump on if its worth buying or not? And if you already own it, play it, and enjoy it: Does it even matter if he likes it or not? Does Yahtzees opinion carry such weight that you actually thought about not playing the game again out of fear of becoming a gamer pariah?
Give me a break.
Grain of salt? You leave with what you took with ya. If you care that much about how he reviews a game it wouldnt matter if he said it was pure shyt or solid gold. Either way you'd be sitting there stewing over how wrong he is, or calling your friends bragging about how "yahtzee said what I thinking."
Whats really sad is how people can get so mad over something so trival. Hating the guy becuase he trashed a game you love proves only that you need some one else to give you an opinion your too scared to make on your own. And just like every other person who's asked for advice and you get the exact opposite of what you expected your first course of action is to cry scream and shout about how wrong that person is, and how you know soooo much better....rofl.
God...it is funny reading "he's stupid becuase he made fun of (insert game here)." Such sad sad people.
