Do you think AC2 will meet your expectations or let you down?

I think Assassin's Creed 2 will be pretty damn good, judging by gameplay videos.
They also seem to have removed prayer-hiding in favor of the much more sensible option of using your cloak to conceal your weapons.

It looks like they've realised their mistakes in AC1, but that game made me wary of getting too excited over any game.

I'm kind of wary about it, but there's the probability it ill be at least decent.

Wow. I've been a fan of mech games for too long. I thought they were remaking Armored Core 2 from looking at your title. I'm sure Assassin's Creed 2 will be fine, if not better than the first one.

I dislike how any historical accuracy the game may have had (Hashshashin! Who's done a game about that before?) was thrown out the vitraux, Renaissance window.
Still, it looks graphically great, and I want to go on a halberd killing spree.

I'm sure it's historically accurate that Templars lied about history and the Hashashin were fighting for peace against all the dirty war mongering religious people, yes.

Besides, how many action games are there set in the Renaissance?

I loved the first game, warts 'n' all, so the sequel should be brilliant after it's used enough clearasil.

Well, the hashshashin weren't fighting for peace, really. Their leader (bin Sabbah) would tell his fidai (assassins) and dai (scribes and recruiters) that, but he and his inner circle knew it was about power. Also, they game's got the mythical "secret garden", it almost matched the assassins' clothes (they're actually rather accurate, except that they didn't wear hoods. They wore red or white turbants). They've really nailed bin Sabbah's "actions, not words nor prayer" attitude, too.

Well, Assassins Creed was awesome, and AC2 looks brilliant too.

But we must remember that we are only highly evolved monkeys on a rock that is flying through space, and the rock itself is dying.

Highly evolved monkies can only do so much.

I loved the first one and the second looks better in every way possible. The only thing thing that I'm worried about is if the post-assassination cutscenes remain interesting (yes, I'm talking about the ones where the dead guys talk for 5 minutes).

Damn you guys. "AC2" "AC1" "AC2"

I didn't know what you were talking about until the first guy that said Assassin's Creed. My current AC acronym is Armored Core, but they're definitely past the second game.

I still wish I could play the first game.....

I thought they were talking about "Ace Combat" at first, then I realised that they were way past 2.

I'm looking forward to it, and the gameplay does look good. But I'm more worried about the story. That's what drew me back to the first game, and I hope that the new one sticks to a similar level of quality in it's storytelling.

No because I expect everything to be as perfict as me.
Perfect fail.

Anyway, my expectations are reasonably low. It's not very high on my list of must-haves this year, I'm afraid.

I liked Assassins Creed, except for the "fuck you!" swordfights and major plot fuck-up at the end. That made me dislike it a lot, along with retarded guards and extremely repetitive gameplay. Hopefully they'll address these issues in Assassins Creed 2.
