While I wouldn't miss the gramers (those who only play FPS', sports games, and GTA), I'd like to see a world where video games are like books or movies, a cultural pastime with material for all ages and interests.
What I said was meant to be sarcastic as much as your reply.syrus27 said:EVEN COOL PEOPLE!?!?!?Ando85 said:Even cool people play video games now.
Oh the humanity!
Nah, as long as there are still stupid people who believe them, they'll still continue to "report" about video gamesMaybe some day (I hope) that Fox would stop bashing gaming being a bad thing.
To be honest I'm on the fence.Ando85 said:Probably a good 10-15 years ago I recall walking into an Electronics Boutique in the mall and started browsing the games. Soon after a mother, teenage daughter, and younger son walked into the store. I overheard the teenage girl say "Mom! I can't be seen in here. This is the nerd store!" I quietly chuckled to myself.
Nowadays these same girls are WORKING at EB/Gamestop. Gaming has become a more accepted form of entertainment over the years. Even cool people play video games now.
Do you wish it was still more of a niche hobby, or do you like its growing acceptance?
We didn't beforehand. Just the insecure ones.Zhukov said:No.
Fuck no.
I would rather not feel the need to hide the fact that I play video games.
I hope games become more widespread then they are now.
