A fairly weak episode and not just due to Sir James Corden, but for the fact the writing was on the whole mediocre.
I think the lets get the Doctor to do and say stupid things (football scene, headbutt scene etc.) dominated the episode too much. I guess the variety in writers can cause some discrepency in the character of the Doctor at times. The ending had no coherency either.

Loved this episode, it was one of my favourites of the series despite the hideous Corden infestation. The writing just seemed to crackle in a way it hasn't for a few episodes, and putting all the focus on Matt Smith really let him shine. I await the 2 part finale with bated breath, it appears like an enormous fanwank with every single character from the rejuvenated series meeting and BLOWING UP in SPACE.
