It's funny how they only put the daleks in bright colours because they started colour filming :p for shame

Hey, I just realised something. When the Doctor was playing football, guess what the number on his shirt was? 11.

I love things like that.

I didn't like it. The upstairs villain was a poor amalgmation of old Doctor Who villains.. But the comedy scenes were good.

And on the subject of next week ZOMG ZOMG WANT WANT. Here's betting that that box contains everyone ever absorbed by a crack...
I won't believe that Rory would die so casually... I won't believe he's gone.... -sniff-
And if this war is anything as epic as when Daleks fought cybermen, but with the added bonus of Karen Gillan then... well.....

Anybody else think the ultimate big bad of this season could be Omega?

That would make an interesting twist

Unlikely. He did state that everyone was scared of it, and the last thing mentioned that everyone was scared off was either
Squuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeee!
or

Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!

edit:
Obvious shout outs to the EMH from Voyager as well.

Maybe you shouldn't believe he's gone...

Re: Teaser.

The quote about whats in the Pandorica is "There was a Goblin or a Trickster or a Warrior, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxys. The most feared being in all the Cosmos." Sound like anyone know? Coupled with the fact Rivers back *cheers* and that she "Killed the best man I've ever known" its obvious who they want us to think it is. Hope they don't fuck up the monster mash though
Who did you think that quote was describing? I thought it was Omega.

Ooohhh, that could be bad. Rory wasn't the only thing to fall into the crack. The angels would be there too.

Cant be, the cyber in the trailer didn't have the cybus industries logo on their chests from the parallel universe.

There are two things I dislike about this new Doctor Who series.

The first is how unsubtly the cracks in the wall are being revealed. The current format remains steady at 'Adventure happens, then at the end of the adventure they find a crack in the wall and ponder on it.' It's annoying and predictable. Just once I'd like to see them run past a giant crack in the wall halfway through the episode but not notice it because they are being chased by the giant alien space monster.

The second is how you can't do anything else when they're on except sit and watch Doctor Who. The action flashes by so fast and an incredible amount of techno-babble gets crammed into such a tiny space that if you aren't paying 100% attention for 100% of the time then you miss something crucial. Given that they are usually on around the time I'm trying to prepare and eat dinner, this leads to me knowing very little apart from 'The Doctor has won and there's a crack in the wall.'

That aside I like the characters and think the writing when it isn't just infodumping on us is of a high standard. I like this new Doctor and think now he's starting to find his feet he is going to be comparable favourably to David Tenant. I like Amy Pond though i feel sometimes she gets used more as a plot device than a character, and I think the resolution will of course be gripping and epic and worth staying up late and posting on facebook et al about.

This episode did feel just a little bit meh to me though. This time everything flashed by so fast I didn't even care. Camera work was good though.

I was really hoping they would have called the Emergency Crash Hologram an ECH. Sigh.

But I doubt it will be either of those two villains. Omega seems a good bet as his fate is a mystery, and the Time Lords are terrified of him and he is a Time Lord himself, which would explain all of the weird schenanigans with time throughout this season.

Interesting. And they have hinted at the Doctor's bad side already with the Dream Lord so perhaps that was some foreshadowing.

Quite possible indeed. He is known by many names. One of which is
The Valeyard

Crackpot theory
Perhaps it's something as simple as Amy not leaving the note, or using a blue pen. In that way she's accidentally caused a major paradox, which is why the crack is following her?????!?!?!?.
