It has finally happened! After nearly 2 years in the making. I have reached 5000 posts and (if I haven't already got it) my Neo badge.

I have only two things to say to everybody.
[sup]It is technically one thing but to two separate groups of people... [/sup]

First:
To my group, The Escapist TARDIS Crew [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-TARDIS-crew]:

I love you all for allowing me to be myself, my insanity fueled, Doctor Who mad, self.

Thank you

Second:
To you: The Escapist.

You all have inadvertently changed me. For the better. Alot better! Every time I feel down or something ruins my day. I know I can just come here at the end of a long work day and forget about everything and have conversations with anyone about pretty much anything.

So to all of you:

Series 5 is over, way too soon for my liking! Matt Smith surpassed all expectations and is an excellent Doctor!

[HEADING=2]The Big Bang[/HEADING]

Epic is one word I would use.
FAN-tasic is another.
Molto Bene is a third!

Time Travel used just the way I like it!

What do you all think?
A Dalek saying "Mercy"? Whodathought?

Who was controlling the TARDIS?

Quotes of the Episode:

"This is where things get complicated"

"Not just your face, but your heart and your soul"

"It's a fez, I wear a fez now
Fez's are cool"

"Big Bang 2"

"Why do you have to be so human?
Because right now I'm not!"

"I only came for the dancing"

Now that was messed up tidyness!

A hell of a lot crammed into one episode.......and thoroughly superb :))

EDIT: Congrats on the 5000!

I enjoyed it, although I didn't like the time paradox that got the Doctor out of the Pandorica.

A thoroughly filled to the brim episode of Doctor Who goodness. Only Doctor Who could have cramemd so mcuh into an episode and make it work. I've never felt so warm inside after seeing an episode.

River's showdown with the Dalek was so awesome, I never knew she had it in her to be so dark and threatening. Alex Kingston acted that part superbly.

PENGUINS OF THE NILE, YEAH

And I'm still betting the Voice of Silence was Omega, they must be teasing that as an over arching plot into the next season.

Dalek: Mercy.
River Song: Say it again.
Dalek Meeerrccyyyy.
River Song: *gunshot*

I found it to be confusing and disapointing. I guess I'll wait for next year then.

EDIT: Matt Smith is one of the best doctors so far and the shitty writing has destroyed his potential.

I liked it - tied up so many loose ends. And they didn't forget about the Sun

Also, the bit where Amy had to keep her eyes shut for all the Angels and he tells her to remember what he told her when she was seven. WOW.

Long foreshadowing much?

That was absolutely fantastic. I can't beleive i gotta wait till Christmas now, i love all the clever tricks and... EVERYTHING. I laughed when Amelia's aunt mentioned Richard Dawkins Star Cult and there are so many great quotes :p

A good episode - I'll let past that Amy touched her past self at one point (previously causing far worse things than just some manner of lightning bolt) due to the rather fragile nature of the universe for most of the episode.

Also, was that a Princess Bride reference with the Doctor describing Amy as "mostly dead"? :p

Throoughly good end to a superb season perhaps one of the best. I had my doubts about Matt but he has been absolutely fantastic, and as for Karen Gillan - wow hot hot hot! Anyhoos, ended much too soon left too many questions...

Who is River Song - I mean really?

and what was controlling the Tardis?

First time I have ever seen a story arc go on for more than one season (not including the episde where River Song dies)

Gaaahhhh now I have to wait a year or so for the next series (xmas not included)

I was right, there was two doctors hopping about. I'm so glad it wasn't continuity errors.

And my bet for whom will be the over arching villain behind the Silence Will Fall business...

Omega.
