Firstly, massive congratulations.
Secondly, wasn't it "Because right now I'm not" ?
Thirdly, confusing but amazing episode. :D
Fourthly, who was it that suggested that the Doctor in the forest in the Byzantiun was a different Doctor? Whoever it was (Root maybe?), is a genius!
Twas PoliceBox63 in our group ;)
I knew it was in the group, but I wasn't exactly part of that conversation. I just skimmed it on my iPod, so I wasn't sure of the person who floored the idea.

PoliceBox, you're a genius!!

Magnificent! Spectacular! Those are my Dr Who words, you can't have them. (Possibly tremendous too, not sure, I'll work on it)
I loved it! My favourite series so far since start of NuWho, and my favourite Doctor, Matt Smith is better than Tennant or Eccleston...or Baker (yeah, I went there). I think I'll go all the way down Controversial Lane and say that even the theme music was better than previous NuWho themes.

And furthermore, HEY! Thought discussing the greatest television series that ever existed was a pretty great first post. Meet your new resident Doctor Who fanatic, and general paragon of eccentric magnificence. Not here to challenge or try and replace the brilliant 'TimeLord', more to...help ;)

Wow. Just... wow.

The man who gave us "everybody lives" managed to pull off an story with a negative bodycount!
Now that is awesome. A very good end to the series.

The theory has been knocking around on the internet for awhile now with a bunch of evidence for it. Its weird how some people can pick up on things that others don't even take into account and guess right.

"Hello, I'm Amys imaginary friend."

I really enjoyed that episode, and it has cemented the Doctor/Amy/Rory tardis group as the best one since the new series.

Just to take it apart bit by bit:

The Doctor - I'm going to steal a quote from somewhere else for my thoughts on MAtt Smith. "When the series started everyone went Who's He? Now its He's Who." Brilliantly acted and he never oversold it. The part where he was in young Amys bedroom was particularly touching.

Amy - Why did it take 13 episodes to show us she could act? Very well done, especially the wedding.

Rory - I've liked Rory ever since he became a semi-regular in episode 6. He was a nice balance between competent and idiot. I also liked the relationship between Rory and Amy because in the previous series, those left behind where normally just dumped on, but this time they had close to a decent relationship. I'm so glad it looks like he'll be in the Christmas episode and fingers crossed for him becoming a regular next year.

The Story - After the previous series finales, this was a very nice change of pace. Everything wsa nicely tied together and I especially loved the flash back to episode 5. I also liked that not everything was solved. One of my problems since the revival is that they always felt the need to keep everything self contained. Single episodes with everything coming together all neat and tidy for the final. This time questions everyone was expecting to be answered were left hanging and I can't wait to find out what those answers are next year.

My one bad point - WHY OH WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE A FUCKING DALEK? I'm sorry, but I'm getting a bit fed up of them.

Well done on the 5000th post, though the fact that it landed on the same day as the series finale is fishy I say!

Anyhoo, these are the first doctor who's i've actually found i've enjoyed, I tried watching them in the past but just couldn't get into them, now strangely i've watched an entire season. Very strange but i'm alright with it.

Also, anyone else now want to put a Fez on their avatar?

Grats on the 5k! Embrace the epicness of the Neo badge!

Anyway, GODS I loved this episode. I smiled so so so so so wide during the wedding scene. And dammit Rory is inspiring. He always seemed to be such a minor character, not bigger than Rose's Mickey, but dammit Rory's a thousand times cooler.

My new quote by the way is "In the end we're all stories. Just make it a good one eh." Surprised you didn't include that one, it was deeeeep.

Also, this Christmas; an Egyptian god...on the loose...on the Orient express...IN SPAAAAACE!!!! Good gods I believe that just beats Spitfires...IN SPAAAAAACE!!!!

More importantly; because a Cyberman begging for mercy just doesn't have that same delicious flavour to it.

How crushingly disappointing.

Way to explain why the Tardis exploded, who's voice that was saying Silence Will Fall, and really, really, what the fucking fuck is up with bad shit being retconned with 'Think about me' again? This shit was weak back at the end of Season 3 and it's weak now.

Absolute low point of the season. I rather like the Fez, and I love the Dawkins reference, but everything else was a bit of an atrocity for me.

I think I liked it even more because he sort of borrowed it from River Song who is supposedly his wife, they have to be with all their married couple dialogue and mannerisms.. which is hilarious, especially when she blew up the fez even if it was cool.

They're not ignoring it. They're using it as a lead in to the next season. After four years of the same formula being used in every season fo everything being tied up its nice to have an over spilling story that will play an impotant role in the next season.

I liked it except for some parts.
The wedding bit when they started dancing was, imo, unnecessary and took from the flow of the episode. It was at that point that I thought wow this episode is shite. It was saved by river's epic Captain Jack echo which would have worked well with some bad wolf music.
The end was okay and at least they alluded that they haven't wibbly wobblied all the mysteries away (the voice, the silence and whatnot).
Thought the resolution as a whole was poor. If you're going to do a the-universe-can-only-be-saved-by-permanent-doctor-byebye then go through with it. The coming back by memory was a bit...off.
Also the music in the house was very desperate housewives.
It was an anti-climax for me (that doesn't mean I didn't like it) and the timey wimey stuff was rushed.

That's shit though. We deserve a resolution this season.
