No it isn't. We got a resolution on this season's main story which was about the cracks in time. The voice was introduced in the second to last episode so it makes sense to wait till next season to explain it as it looks like its going to be very big.

After the previous series finales, this was a very nice change of pace. Everything wsa nicely tied together and I especially loved the flash back to episode 5. I also liked that not everything was solved. One of my problems since the revival is that they always felt the need to keep everything self contained. Single episodes with everything coming together all neat and tidy for the final. This time questions everyone was expecting to be answered were left hanging and I can't wait to find out what those answers are next year.
Very well, Disaster Button ;)
The vibe of the story continuing and not just being the next series is class.

Doctor Who: Confidential they just said that The Silence and River Song is what next series is all about.
So... Silence and Song... wonderful

Also, Moffat said "who are the Silence?" not "What is the Silence?" Something to ponder.

Excellent! £5 says River gets taken over by Omega and controls the TARDIS and makes it explode with herself in it in the past for giggles!
I don't give a crap how the resolve her storyline as long as they don't go the route I've heard fans mention with "River Song = Amy". If they do that, I'll be forced to hunt down Stephen Moffet and whack him round the back of the head for being an idiot.

I'm still hoping for a return of the Time Lords, but thats probably just a bit of a fantasy after RTD screwed them up in the End of Time.

I think that would be a little difficult to explain what with how vastly different the characters are. If it did happen I would weep. I wonder if she'll be someone new or maybe a timelord.

Antonyms as well...Unless the Song is of Silence...
Considering how Moffat likes to do things I'm betting he said it like that for a very important reason.

Aye when listening to him on Confidential he sounded very giddy, almost RTD-like. He needs to cop on lest he catch the dirty disease that is Daviesitis ;P

So the voice is actually River Song and all her actions that we've seen are her making up for whatever she did as The Silence? Not only could that work, that would be AWESOME!!!

I am really annoyed at how our Amy could touch young Amy and our Doctor touch future Doctor but the screwdrivers reacted. If you're going to do something, Moffat, do it for all or none.

Awesome episode. Prefered last weeks, but I think that's one of the best finales we've had in a while. And I know I complained when the reset button was used in the Last of the Time Lords, but here it was hinted at throughout the series, not five minutes to the end.
Also glad that the story arc extends into next series as well with the "who is river song" and the "who caused the tardis to explode" questions, not everything can be explained neatly in 13 episodes.

It was the End of Time[footnote]See what I did there?[/footnote]

You are allowed some continuity errors in time

I liked it - tied up so many loose ends. And they didn't forget about the Sun

Also, the bit where Amy had to keep her eyes shut for all the Angels and he tells her to remember what he told her when she was seven. WOW.

Long foreshadowing much?
Hell, every single episode this series has contributed to a massive Chekhov's Gun for the final episode. Last time I saw one pulled off so magnificently was with Lost (seriously, that had one single Chekhov's Gun running over six whole seasons...). Overall, I loved it. And the best bit is, unlike every other new series so far, this time the plot wasn't entirely resolved and follows into the next series possibly (Silence Will Fall, and the reason for the supernovae, were never explained... looking forward to Christmas now :D.

It was really good, I'll admit.

But something that's bothering me is this:

How did The Doctor get out of the pandorica to tell Rory to let him out the pandorica?

I just can't get my head around it.

Considering what they hinted at in the phone call, I'm expecting the christmas episode to be a bit of a fun episode. Really hope it is.

He cheated. The wonders of quick and dirty time travel combined with the self fulfilling prophesy.

anyway, my own opinion! i loved it, towards the end i was a bit worried they were gonna encounter their elusive TARDIS jacker and give us a huuuuuuge cliffhanger so im glad they didnt

a bit dissapointed in YOU timelord for leaving out these quotes

"something old..... something new...... something borrowed................... and something BLUE!"
"i guess this is goodbye then? definately goodbye, *opens door* GOODBYE!!!"

TARDIS exploding = complete protonic reversal.

Rory let him out and then he went back with the Vortex manipulator to tell Rory to let him out.

Come on, that whole sequence was shown twice to make sure we'd get it. Also wibbly wobbly ball of timey wimey stuff.

I enjoyed it. Didn't blow me away but I was satisfied with it overall. No Omega make-a me sad.
