Massive dissapointment.

Explained nothing about why the Tardis exploded in the first place, now I have to wait another year to find out? And Amy didn't die so we're still stuck with the worst companion so far.

Brilliant.

I swear, if River says "Spoilers" one more time I'm going to shove that stupid book down her throat.

My opinion of this episode is kinda the opposite of the previous one. The first part was alright, but then came the extremely boring dialogue which made me think I was watching the wrong program.

That's not to mention the immense ass-pull at the end, which easily rivalled any Davies episode.

On the whole, this was nowhere near as good as the series 4 finale or The End of Time, on a level with Series 1, perhaps slightly better.

This series finale comes in at a very close second to the Master's return in series 3. And I liked the way it actually properly set up the next series and Christmas special for once, rather than having some random thing pop in during the last 30 seconds of the episode to segway into the Christmas special.

Oh, and congrats on the 5000th post.

It was good. The climax wasn't as big as I would have liked but it was still good. I'm looking forward to the nest series and christmas.

Congrats on the 5000 posts.

The intriguing thing about that episode was that there was comparatively little CGI compared to some previous episodes (such as the first two episodes).
Nevertheless, I thought it was good, although killing the Doctor off was so sudden I knew it couldn't be real.

Firstly, massive congratulations.
Secondly, wasn't it "Because right now I'm not" ?
Thirdly, confusing but amazing episode. :D
Fourthly, who was it that suggested that the Doctor in the forest in the Byzantiun was a different Doctor? Whoever it was (Root maybe?), is a genius!

Finally a series finale that was epic and didn't have some sort of ridiculous army appear and then get wiped out ala RTD's reign.

Moffat has performed an incredible service for Doctor Who. Long live Matt Smith, Amy Pond and Rory Williams! The greatest and least irritating Tardis crew for a very long time!

I can't praise the last two episodes enough. Fantastic stuff!

Also, wonder where Moffat is going with the whole "silence" thing? New series Dr Who doesn't normally carry a series' story arc over into another. Also looks like River is going to be showing her true colours soon. She must have done something terrible to make a Dalek beg for mercy.

Also an Egyptian queen on the Orient Express in space? I think Christmas is going to be heaven!

Where was the ass-pull?

Wow, your 5000th post and the final episode of a series of Doctor Who at the same time? That's one of the weirdest coincidences I've ever witnessed!
Also, congratulations. Your constant monitoring and subsequent reports of the more recent serie of Doctor Who has made you a valued and recognizable member of this community. I thank you, sir.

I was right, there was two doctors hopping about. I'm so glad it wasn't continuity errors.

And my bet for whom will be the over arching villain behind the Silence Will Fall business...

Omega.
It really couldn't be anybody else.

You can't just explain something like that in one episode! I for one am glad it is going to follow on!

And I like Karan Gillian IMHO

We love you to dude. Isn't weird and awesome at the same time that your 5000 post neo badge earning thread is also the doctor who season finale thread. Once again, I FUCKING MISSED IT. So I'll just watch it tomorrow and post then. Also did you see the other dude who sort of ninja'd you but didn't really by doing this thread before the episode even aired. [HEADING=2]HE TRIED TO STEEL YOUR[/HEADING] [HEADING=1]THUNDER[/HEADING] [HEADING=2] HE SHOULD BE PUNISHED![/HEADING] ...Kidding, kidding. No offence to the dude if you read this.
[small]please don't hit me.[/small]

EDIT: Okay now I can comment. *inhales* HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGGGG SSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT THAT WAS MARVELOOOUUUS. Sorry for the overkill and sounding like a complete douche, but it was. And I loved how the end seemed perfectly into the credits. Plus the time vortex suddenly going red at the end made me think something bad would happen in new episodes. Brilliant.
