But they kept it going for long enough as it is, a storyline as prominent as this would probably be center of the finale of next season too, that's far too long. If you drag something out over an entire season, finish it up at the end. I guarantee in a years time we'll all be sick to death at the sight of that flaming crack. I say that because it will come back. It's the symbol of this storyline so it won't go away if they intend to keep the story going.Disaster Button said:They're not ignoring it. They're using it as a lead in to the next season. After four years of the same formula being used in every season fo everything being tied up its nice to have an over spilling story that will play an impotant role in the next season.Frequen-Z said:How crushingly disappointing.
Way to explain why the Tardis exploded, who's voice that was saying Silence Will Fall, and really, really, what the fucking fuck is up with bad shit being retconned with 'Think about me' again? This shit was weak back at the end of Season 3 and it's weak now.
Absolute low point of the season. I rather like the Fez, and I love the Dawkins reference, but everything else was a bit of an atrocity for me.
No it isn't. We got a resolution on this season's main story which was about the cracks in time. The voice was introduced in the second to last episode so it makes sense to wait till next season to explain it as it looks like its going to be very big.PoliceBox63 said:That's shit though. I know, but they've been in 4 out of the 5 series finales. The point about a Dalek begging for mercy is a good one though.TimeLord said:Because like Bow Ties, Thumbs up and Fez'zPlinglebob said:My one bad point - WHY OH WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE A FUCKING DALEK? They are cool!
This is why I like River. She feels very natural and comfortable around the doctor, which is a nice contrast to the usual companions.Disaster Button said:I think I liked it even more because he sort of borrowed it from River Song who is supposedly his wife, they have to be with all their married couple dialogue and mannerisms.. which is hilarious, especially when she blew up the fez even if it was cool.Cowabungaa said:Grats on the 5k! Anyway, GODS I loved this episode. I smiled so so so so so wide during the wedding scene. And dammit Rory is inspiring. He always seemed to be such a minor character, not bigger than Rose's Mickey, but dammit Rory's a thousand times cooler.
My new quote by the way is "In the end we're all stories. Just make it a good one eh." Surprised you didn't include that one, it was deeeeep.
Yeah, you could also count the Doctor touching the Dead Doctor, but with the Universe collapsing, I think it "may" have offset the Blinovitch Limitation.not_the_dm said:Am I the only one wondering why when the two Amys touched our little piece of reality diddn't implode due to the paradox? Aside from that, a fantastic end to what has been, on the whole, a brilliant series.
I honestly cannot stand her.TimeLord said:You can't just explain something like that in one episode! I for one am glad it is going to follow on!orangebandguy said:Massive dissapointment.
Explained nothing about why the Tardis exploded in the first place, now I have to wait another year to find out? And Amy didn't die so we're still stuck with the worst companion so far.
Brilliant.
And I like Karan Gillian IMHO

And people said RTD was bad, give Steven Moffat one season and he erases the entire universe![]()
I doubt the cracks will come back now that they've been sealed. Stephen Moffat is clever enough to know not to bring back the same threat again, hell even RTD wouldn't do that. Instead we will get a bigger threat, the creator of the first threat. Besides RTD's tie ins were a lot less subtle. OH LOOK EVERYTHINGS SAD NOW BUT LOL A NEW THREAT JUST HAPPENED TO HAPPEN AGAIN FOR THE 4TH YEAR LOLOLO. Not subtle and not good but it is still a mystery introduced at the last moment and this is no different.Disaster Button said:No it isn't. I'm willing to overlook that.![]()
While Amy is annoying at times, I'm willing to overlook it because if theres no Amy, theres no Rory Awesomeness! Is it too early to name Rory the best companion since the revival?orangebandguy said:I honestly cannot stand her.TimeLord said:You can't just explain something like that in one episode! Her voice is grating, and she only generally comes off as eye candy. It's also pretty hard to care for her at all. Mind you, I do like Rory.

There is one thing though, the biggest mystery of them all was never explained...
[HEADING=1]Why are there no ducks in the duck pond?!?!?[/HEADING]
I say its either the crack, or the big bad who blew up the Tardis is eviler then we though and just kills ducks when no-ones looking!
AWESOME! Now all I have to do is get Alec Baldwin with a fez and we can begin our erm. Feziness?Private Custard said:Done!!Demon ID said:Also, anyone else now want to put a Fez on their avatar?
Excellent! £5 says River gets taken over by Omega and controls the TARDIS and makes it explode with herself in it in the past for giggles!PoliceBox63 said:Doctor Who: Confidential they just said that The Silence and River Song is what next series is all about.
