I know they're a callback to the original series, I dislike the new Dalek design. I prefer the blue eye rather than a yellow one, and I also don't much enjoy the way they stick out in the back. I dunno.
Overall, I thought this episode was pretty weak (makes sense, considering it wasn't written by Moffat), especially with the half-assed final act. Seriously. How does making an android human deactivate a bomb? That was never explained and really didn't work as a major threat.
The cracks are too obvious. I liked it better when it just appeared on the Doctor's TARDIS monitor for a few seconds before he switched it off. That felt like Bad Wolf- something very brief, not really shouting out at you, but you look it up online and go "well that's interesting".
Next week looks good though.
