I thought it was a great game and I am at the start of my 3rd play through at the moment. However, one thing that has bugged me about an otherwise great game is some of the results from chat choices. My prime example of this is...

The confrontation with the Dalish hunters after leaving the cave you killed the keeper in. If you tell them that the keeper became a demon and it wasn't your fault, they attack you. However, if you just say what amounts to 'she is dead, deal with it' the elves stand down and you don't have to wipe them all out.

Overall however, it is a minor gripe to an otherwise brilliant game. I know some people complain it is dummed down compared to the last one but I personally love the changes, who liked the old crafting system anyway? and half the spells in DA:O were useless so why not get rid of them?

yes, why not just get rid of everything that the player has to do and make an interactive movie with Quicktime events and 3 choices that ultimately lead to the same conclutions. After all the combat is useless and any effort put into it on your part is just a hazzle amirite?

I love the game. It made me cry.

Don't so much love the Isabela friendship bug, though. Suddenly finding yourself with an attack speed penalty of 70% is less than fun. Thank the Maker for save game editors.

Now im mostly only a portable gamer apart from when I use my PC to play Valve's latest offering, and have always been pretty dismissive of RPG's,(dont know why) but I recently picked up Dragon quest 9 for DS and haven't been able to put it down again, its awesome and totally changed my assumptions about RPG's. As such, I've just ordered Dragon age 2 from the interwebs. Thanks Level 5!

It's like Dragon Age 1 with less annoying combat. Yeah I like it, it's annoying that I don't get to equip my companions though. Means most of my unlockables from the signature edition are pretty worthless but ah well, the ones I have look cool and it's not like I won't eventually get around to playing warrior or mage.

I played through it twice, and I enjoyed it each time, tried to play a 3rd time as a warrior, and didn't really feel like playing far into that.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't an amazing game. Good characters though, I really like Varric and Merrill.

I liked it but I could of been better, but it was STILL really awesome, BUT IT could be better, I liked the click to slash thing though...

It felt like there was a great pc game inside, however it had been consoled up a bit too much..
So I'd say it was okay not great just okay, unlike the first which was a power house of an epic(except the ending) which I have played for 200 hours(about 7 days) according to steam.

But then again DA:O is nothing compared to Baldurs Gate 2 + exp so maybe its just bioware going downhill I don't know, what I do know is that DA2 did not have the DND feel to it which DA:O at least had.
This is off topic, but you do know that your avatar is supposed to be ironic, right? Also, you like Baldurs Gate 2 more than Dragon Age?

OT: I think Origins was the better game, and that 2 felt kinda unfinished. That being said, I still enjoyed it immensely and I don't think it even remotely deserved the hate it gets.

I'm having a great time playing it. Haven't had a lot of free time to just play so I'm not quite done with the second act.

I'm enjoying it more then I thought. 33 hours so far. And I'm still only in act two. Not bad bioware. But did you have to copy/paste so much? I mean, really?

Bad game in my opinion. Boring combat that tries to be flashy, but fails. Grind quests, true MMO style. A story that sucks. Choices that doesn't matter, AT ALL. And the worst is probably the immersion. It's the first time I've found myself spamming a button to skip the coversations, simply because I didn't care at all, and I've been standing with Bioware since Baldur's Gate. Such a disappointment..

i think it's a great game, only a few concerns !1. on the xbox the cutscene can glitch a bit (but this is understandable) 2. the combat is better but after taping A over and over again the actions performed by your character can get boring and "samey" 3. all the caves, mansions, house and warehouses all have the same basic model and start to look the same. other than those small complaints i'd say it was a brilliant game 8.5/10 :p

Doubt anyone really cares about it, the casual market will play/praise it until the next things comes along, but noone will really remember it because there really isn't much to remember.
