Falling very long distances in first person games. Huge sea creatures in games where you have to go in water at least once.
That totally freaked me out the first time. The second time through I was prepared and he ate 00 buck.Sir Neox said:Mine was in bio shock when i was merrily running around killing stuff when i head a scream so I decide "huh ill go check that out" so i walk round the corner and see a shadow with a splicer ripping someone over, I sneak round the corner and BLAM lights go off. I just think to myself what the hell and walk back towards the door when BOOM one of little metal refrigerator things you store body's in door fly's off and a splicer is coming to eat my face off. That scared me a bit so now im always paranoid of things like that in games.
Tightrope walking missions (damn you Sonic Unleashed), Regenerating Enemies (Dead Space and Resident Evil 4, you're guilty of this!the protaginist said:Due to an upcoming retrospective review i'm writing, I needed something to compare Twilight Princess's graphics to. Now, I have not played Shadow of the Colossus since my PS2 broke, so I was a little hazy on the details, and from my memories they looked remarkably similar. But, memories fade, so I found myself on Youtube looking up SoTC videos. The one I watched was the fight against The Fifth Colossus, the bird-like one on the lake. Now as I watched Wander swim to the beast, I found myself getting nervous. In life, I love being in or on the water. In games? It scares the living daylight outta me. For one thing, you can't see if somethings coming out from under you until it's too late to get away. You can't hear anything, period. You can't access your arsenal underwater, thus rendering you defenseless.
Mine is a fear of open water in gaming: what's yours?
TLR Version: What makes you scared in games?
Same but hell did me and my friend jump when that happenedDJDarque said:That totally freaked me out the first time. Couldn't of said it better myself. Beating Prototype was a serious chore for me because of those.Sigel said:Escort missions. Every time I play a game, I have a standing fear I will have to lead a stupid useless character to safety to progress the story line, and failure and/or skipping is not an option.
