I think the first bit was funny when the sniper shot but the second bit when the gun man came in was taking it too far, that should of been the presenter coming in to tell him it was a joke not the gunmen making the guy cry.
Yeah. I thought it was the presenter, but when the gunman came in it was like "oh..." they already got the paniced face, why continue?

If they had done this to me, I would've had the brains to check for a pulse from the "dead" guys. Besides, those guns didn't even sound real. A real gun makes a slightly deeper bang. And besides, even if I thought it was a real gun, I wouldn't have whined like this guy. I would've actually tried to do something, something that would make the audience be like "oooh.. s--t." Probably like take the gun and beat them with it. Then when the guy is bleeding for real, I'll turn to the camera and ask them how they lke it.

Actually, I'm surprised anyone has a problem with this. Compared to some of the stunts on Scare Tactics, this is pretty tame. Sure, having a sniper shoot at me would cause me to piss myself on TV, but I'd have a laugh when it was all over. Being locked in a restaurant, told I ate tainted food and then watching the other patrons vomit blood and die a horrible death that I would soon be experiencing.... That's much crueler. I would not have a laugh afterwards, and I'd probably never eat at a restaurant again.

Holy Shit!!!

Only in Japan can a prank do psychological damage. I mean, the only other prank I can think of that is............THAT terrifying is this one! [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdDV0xNc1mk]
So Carrie got some stuff poured on her head and in return she started killing people who probably had nothing to do with it...

How is this not grade A television? So what, he got scared, I bet he thought it was funny afterward. He didn't look to angry after he realized it was fake. If you take Japans right to their game shows, then they'll find something else to do, and then the Philippines will look really inviting again...

Funny for some, but not for others. Definitely they should not do this sort of thing without getting consent in some way or another. But that would ruin the fun because you would be "expecting" something bizarre to happen.

Personally, I would be terrified, but I wouldn't sue the TV company. I'd laugh it off, and I'd actually be interested to know how I would really react (probably in a very embarrassing manner).

But yeah - someone could have gotten a heart-attack or been seriously traumatised by this. Shouldn't have done it.

It was worth it just to see his face :3

EDIT: In all seriousness, was he aware that he was being filmed, etc?
No. No, he wasn't.

Definately crosses a line for me. I mean, not just watching people around you die, knowing that you could be next, and then especially having the gun pointed right in your face...and everyone's just laughing away at this guy's terror. Would they get the same enjoyment out of snuff films? I mean seriously, the guy thought he was gonna die, who knows what kind of thoughts went through his head. Heck, the guy could become a nervous wreck, jumping at every little sound he hears.

Oh man that crosses the line and craps on it. So many things could go wrong, what if the sniper actually shot him? What if it caused a heart attack to one victem? Why take all these risks with other peoples lives for a cheap laugh? They have no right to cause such a panic to the average person.

That crosses the line for a non-actor, but for real actors, we should do it more often.

But with real bullets.

Nope. Not until after the fact. It's a hidden camera show.
Frankly I think this is the only acceptable kind of reality TV.

If the people in the show realize they are in a show it isn't reality TV it is just retarded blather.

I don't want people in a 'post apocalyptic' setting that know it is fake. I want people who think there are marauders outside their hut trying to slaughter them all.

But lawyers will never let that happen.

It would certainly be a life affirming situation for the people involved. Realizing just how frail reality can truly be and just how powerful actual terror feels (coming from a guy who has had someone break into his house before while he was home).

I just dislike little pranks and such but with a whole audience and the man thinking that he is under possible death? I mean how would you react if you were nearly killed by a sniper? I bet you would look just as ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure that my heart would stop actually.
yeah everyone would react as if it was real, i'd probably try and find a real good hiding place, or if the guy was in the room i may attack him to disarm or get his gun, since i might aswell try if it was clear they were going to shoot me anyway!

Yeah i agree! this was hilarious purely because it was taken so far! this is good reality tv haha!

If they had 'terrorists' take over the next big brother house, killing some of the house mates as they were actors, that would not only make it worth watching, it would make it good TV, putting it on the other end of the spectrum!!
