Whoever wrote this article needs to do his research. The kangaroo is actually hated in Australia, its like a rat to them....

The article was written by an Australian for an Australian website so yeah...

It's true that there a fuck ton of Kangaroos hanging around but they tend to stay away from the suburbs and the more populated city centers so around 75% of the population don't know just how many Kangaroos there are and hence, like em. The 25% that live in the more rural areas, farmers in particular, do view Kangaroos as pests because of their numbers but they aren't as bad as say rabbits which do devastate farms. I've never heard of Kangaroos eating crops or anything like that, they tend to eat shrubs and grass rather than fruits or vegetables and stay the hell away from dogs so they aren't really that much of a problem for farmers. The biggest problem Kangaroos have is their tendency of jumping in front of cars which does cause accidents, that's usually what gets them hated by some Australians but most people are forgiving of this, who can stay angry at Skippy even if she does leave a dent and bloody fur in your bullbar?


It's pretty fucked up to be fighting with any animal and even more fucked up to restrain than animal in the fight. I would like to see that guy go up against a Kangaroo with out the rope, see if the animal wants to kill him or just jump away.

And I thought Australia's animal was the Kiwi.
