Marble hornets? What is that exactly? I don't want to watch them yet because if it's scary then it'll be something that I would want to watch with the girlfriend since we're both horror buffs.

Could some one throw me a quick explanation?
It's supposedly these tapes a guy had for a documentary. He gave them to a friend and told him to burn them. They had footage of the Slender Man on them. A very tall, very thin man with no face. Scary, if you like that kind of horror.

I was paranoid as hell. Had to recheck the locks on my front door.

Ahh I've heard about Slender Man! Props to whoever created him, I forget the origins, but that stuff can be truly frightening! We'll have to check it out sometime. :D

Intresting, i might check it out but i think it will be too generic, am i the only one whos getting a darkness falls flashback.
Never seen that one either.

Urgh!

How many of these films have I missed out on? The fury I have is immense!!
Not the most scary film but it does seem more original to others.

Talking of horror films, i recommend a look at Shelter, again not the most scary film but it seems unique.

Yeah, totally. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Well as I put It In my Creative Writing class last year, to paraphrase, "Nowadays horror is just, oh your walking down a hallway, turn the corner SCARY DEMON CHILD!!!". Jump scares suck if overused In my opinion, If I want horror I play survival horror games, nothing will make me truly wet myself than walking down a zombie riddled street with nothing but a clip of pistol ammo.

Movie looks like a standard creature flick.

I'm guessing you didn't like the F.E.A.R. series that much.

Because everyone else was posting something insanely cute...
The lobster dog cometh!

OT:Horror films are meh, pretty neutral on them. I was more or less looking for an excuse to post the lobster dog.

Oh my goodness, the cuteness!!

I got to bear witness to what can only be described as a live-action Pokemon battle immediately proceeded by a animal cuddlefest on a 5 AM on a forum. My awe is indescrible.

Otters make the effects of my curious googling of the Slender Man oh so much better.

I hate horror films. Generally, they're not scary. They make you jump, but hell, I'm moderately paranoid, and most modern horror movies don't phase me in the slightest.

Movies like Psycho however cause my floor to be wet whenever I shower, as I no longer use shower curtains, and I now have an irrational fear of stairs.
I have a challenge for you.
And everyone.

Watch Marble Hornets [http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=marble+hornets&aq=f]

If you don't find that scary, may the Slender Man fabricate to reality and scar you for life.
Everyone needs to watch Marble Hornets.

It made me paranoid for two nights but thats all

*looks over shoulder*

Never got a chance to play It, didn't pick it up for xbox, and my pc can barely run flash games. The horror games I've played have been rented, and then theres the occasional FPS scare level, Ravenholme, Cortana, and those have always been more effective then most horror movies to me.

Well, if you happen to rent any games, get Condemned: Criminal Origins.

It's by no means the prettiest game, but, it's downright tense.

That bit at the end, it's like a toaster, you know it's gonna go, but you always jump when it does. Or at least I do...

Looks good anyway. Anyone else get a slight "Alan Wake" vibe?
