My Pokemon: Gold save had taken me years of careful compilation and strengthening. I had Pokemon still that I had traded from my Blue version when I was eight. I was on top of the world, with 4 Mewtwos, each of the starters from Blue, Gold, and the legendary birds from Blue and Gold. Everything was level 100. I went to turn my game on one day, only to find that the save file was gone. I have never played a serious game of Pokemon since, except for Red, but even then I quit once I was able to hack level using the traditional MissingNo glitch.

Well my story is a little different. I didn't lose all my data because I forgot to save, but rather because I did save.

So back when I was playing Gold version I wandered into a pitch black cave. I was stupid, so I kept walking around inside. When I tried to head back, I found that I was trapped and could not find my way out. Because I saved in the cave, I had no way of getting back outside. Had to delete my data.

And this wasn't like the first dark cave in the game. It was much later in the game, so I had to get rid of a large amount of progress.

I mostly play call of duty and nothing else. So I usually play a whole CoD in 5 hours (on greenhorn). Also any other game I played did fine with saving even if I had to save it. So no, no problems with saving things with me >_>

Reformatted my HD and when I restarted GTA IV I'd lost my 90% saves.
I was not impressed.

Other than that. Oblivion and Fallout 3 are the worst culprits for me, I get so sucked in and have so many mods it ends up crashing occasionally, I've lost quite a few hours on more then one occasion.

Most games though run rock solid on my PC so I never have to worry about them.
