It's an RPG. A fantasy RPG. Since when is rock related to a fantasy RPG?

I can't put words in the mouth of its creator, but I feel that's precisely the point. It's the juxtaposition of a fantasy RPG with a modern rock song. It's a method that been used a number of times to lesser or greater effect even in video game trailers. A few examples - the first is probably the best and actually won a number of awards for it's excellent usage of mixing two forms of media with very different tones.

Because it's an RPG game, and the official game soundtrack contains nothing but epic scores.

That's why this song is extremely miss-placed, and it makes it the worst RPG trailer, mostly because it's not RPGish.
