kai was just a rehash of dbz, like a colour touchup. Made it look good but it didnt feel right.

Oh and DBZ was fine until Androids then it went downhill
Oh so Kai was kind of like an oav.

Also true about the Androids, everything just got weird and retarded at that point.

Because it got too long. The longer a show gets the more selective the audience becomes. Eventually you go from every 10-13 year old in america, to nothing more than a circle of die hard fans. Mainly because of how children just move from fad to fad and completely forget about the last big thing.

This is just my opinion, not fact.

Why is there no more dbz i mean come on its popular and well known and yet no onrs doing anything about it ps the movie is crap.
There was more than one movie. The series was good, but it suffered the age old problem with anime following manga, it caught up to it's source too quickly. That's why episodes got stretched out so much. Anyway...

Dragon Ball and DBZ were made by Akira Toriyama. Anything after that wasn't. There is no more DBZ because he didn't want any more, in fact rumour has it that he didn't want it after Ball, but his wife pressured him into it because they were making an arse ton of money.

It was great, but watch Draon Ball Kai. It basically shaves all the bullshit off and shortens the amount of episodes down to under a hundred. It's practically a different show. Also give the movie specials a watch. A lot of them were disappointing, but Bardock's one was gold.

Kai is a re-release. It's still going now. Like I said above, it cuts out all the filler and makes it a series of less than a hundred episodes. It's not bad, I hated the Japanese voices because I was raised on the English ones, but watching what normally took 2 episodes 35 seconds is almost comical.

Im with you.

I rank DBZ right up there with the mighty morphin power rangers.
But MMPR was awsome :X
It was targeting your age group, so I can understand why you might be so disillusioned to believe so.

Dear lord...I hope this is a suicide thread. If not:

There's no more DBZ because it ended, probably when it's fanbase realized it was recycling the same plots and villains repeatedly.

Now if you every post again, it would be very, very nice if you used punctuation.
I actually would love to see more plot.

If Goku kept on going, I'm going to laugh when the story required him to go Super Saiyan 32.

..also, just to see how long they could keep their funding =3

Yeah, dragonball kai is the swan song for the the franchise.
And it's little more than a shortened up version of dbz with some more modern looking animation and digital picture/sound. (basically dbz 'director's cut' or 'remastered')
you're actually around 20 years too late.

DBZ didn't get recognized overseas until it was very old news already in japan.
As opposed to naruto and bleach (among others) that started playing in America just a season or so behind the Japanese releases of the show.

If you paid attention at the end of GT though there wasn't much left to do, Goku was basically the invincible hero of the universe, and having absorbed the dragonballs he was essentially made immortal. ...though I always wanted to see a super sayian female. I always imagined them having silver hair for some reason...

Anyhow, in the end the series has been over for quite sometime now, and that god awful movie didn't help the franchise much.

Wasn't there a Budoki (Or however you spell it) game that was actually pretty good? Or am I thinking of another series?
the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi series were pretty darn awesome.

OT: because the book series ended long ago. i still love DBZ and even sometimes play the games again. but its over man, over. it was a great manga, but the movies were quite cheesy. i found the anime quite good.

The series ended a long time ago. In fact, Dragonball GT and Dragonball Kai have already come out. You're about 10 years too late.
Damn. Lol i knew this already. I have watched every single episode of DBZ and DBGT(i was obsessed), but never heard of DBK.

What is it? A continuation of GT, or like a spin-off?

I heard there was new GT comin, with a SSj5, 6 and 7 appearance. True?

I love the games too. Especially (as sas as it is) DBZ budokai tenkaichi 3 on wii. Actually doing the moves is fun.

The live-action movie was shit. They should have done another anime movie. Would have been great.

But seriously i used to be the HUGEST DBZ, GT fan
