I find the trick with sonic is to become an ostrich, yeah he had 4 WICKED games on the megadrive and they were lots of fun, but I still have my megadrive and all 4 of them, so I don't need a new sonic.Shadow-Phoenix said:Its a shame Sonic doesn't get that type of funeral but hey he's being brought back from the brink of death each and every spinoff.Tipsy Giant said:MY PREDICTION
It will be rad but short and they will pump out two shit sequels in 2012 and 2013 and then it will die forever
Thats exactly his point, young one *harhar*warm slurm said:A little condescending there, huh? I've been playing games since the SNES; maybe I'm not old enough to have played NES/Atari/whatever, but I didn't just jump in around the PS2 era, you know. I just wasn't old enough to be allowed to play Duke Nukem games when they were out.TheComedown said:Well young one, its pretty obvious you haven't been playing games for a great deal of time. Duke Nukem is a legend for a reason. Saying that Duke Nukem is generic is like saying Abe Lincoln was just another president.
I feel the same way when i gave sonic 4 a chance and when they managed to screw up the physics that was it and i've seen better fan made sonic 4's and yet Sega still didn't listen to suggestions of improvement.Tipsy Giant said:I find the trick with sonic is to become an ostrich, yeah he had 4 WICKED games on the megadrive and they were lots of fun, but I still have my megadrive and all 4 of them, so I don't need a new sonic.Shadow-Phoenix said:Its a shame Sonic doesn't get that type of funeral but hey he's being brought back from the brink of death each and every spinoff.Tipsy Giant said:MY PREDICTION

If will all ignore sonic he will go away or we'll just stop getting our hopes up, for me sonic 4 was his last chance, 2D revival and they still fudged the mule, so from now on I boycott all things sonic related, to protect the memories and dignity of my childhood
This might have been true like 10+ years ago, but not so much anymore. In these days of everything trying to be dark, gritty, and realistic, Duke is quite unique.warm slurm said:I don't really care about it. I've never even played a Duke Nukem game and from what I can tell it's the most generic of the generic in-terms of shooters.
Yeah, but there's optimism over releasedates, and then there's Valve... I appreciate that they're the perfectionists that they are but there's such a thing as actually releasing their games within any reasonable scope.Falconus said:Now we just need HL2 episode 3 to complete the trifecta.
As long as i can remember all COD games were more or less that long and they will never be as good as Duke Nukem.MetalGenocide said:http://pc.incgamers.com/News/26694/duke-nukem-forever-gets-release-date
"Pitchford claims the game?s campaign will be three times the size of Modern Warfare 2."
*sadface*
So, it's gonna be 3 hours long?
And maybe add in Diablo 3 for the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.Falconus said:Now we just need HL2 episode 3 to complete the trifecta. That Guy Who Phails said:DN:F and Elder Scrolls Five, mai gawd, YOU'RE RIGHT!!fix-the-spade said:So, the Mayans were wrong after all.

Well, I heard that our dating translation of the mayans calender was off, so that "2012" may or may not have already occured.mexicola said:And maybe add in Diablo 3 for the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.Falconus said:Now we just need HL2 episode 3 to complete the trifecta. That Guy Who Phails said:DN:F and Elder Scrolls Five, mai gawd, YOU'RE RIGHT!!fix-the-spade said:So, the Mayans were wrong after all.
