Who here actually plays dungeons and dragons on a regular basis? I do, and I play a half elf rouge/fighter pyromaniac.

I'd like to. Though I can't seem to find anyone who plays.

I believe my friend plays every Sunday night with a few people, perhaps I will join them...

I have played since I was 14 and never stopped loving it. I've also played a number of other table top games such as D20 Modern, D20 Star Wars, Shadowrun and a homebrew version of Game's Workshop's "Inquisitor." which we modified to make playable.

I usualy go for the charismatic mystic warrior types, like Bard or Wilder. Race does't matter overly to me as long as i'm not a halfling or a dwarf :p.

I do. We even have a user group on the Escapist dedicated to pen and paper games.

I play with my friends every Friday, and on most Saturdays. But I play with different people and have a different DM and rule set depending on what days I play.

Oh, I certainly used to.

I played as an elf ranger, with a hawk as a pet, specialty in archery, and backstory about my hometown being destroyed while I was training with this master of rangering or whatever.

I more recently became a part of another campaign where I was a robot (warforged, but I called myself a robot) called AW-76Z or something. I spent a feat to get water jets on the bottom of my feet so I could move underwater easily. I also had, attached to my arm, a sturdy bag containing all the spare change I had which I called a "nickel sock". Sadly that campaign had only just started when I had to go to college and stuff.

I have 2 campaigns ready to go but there is a serious lack in players in the area I'm in (specifically players who want to actually show up to games regularly)

You should check out games workshop's "Dark Heresy". it expanded on the idea of inquisitor, and adressed a lot of the problems that made it unplayable, plus it's an actual RPG.

OT: I technically play D&D, but I've avoided 4th Ed like Mummy Rot. These days I play a little game called Pathfinder. It's basically D&D 3.75, and once again it's a real rpg, as opposed to WoW with dice. I also play Shadowrun, run Spycraft and D&D, and my group has just started playing this amazingly random game called GammaWorlds. You roll 2 d20s to determine your character. My character is 5 koalas with a shared consciousness, cause I rolled rat swarm and bear. As for characters, I'll play just about anything, but I do prefer the rogue, ever since my first char in 2nd when I was 12. I've played almost every class as well, except for Wizard.

We actually need DM's, maybe you can start a game up on here?

I used to and plan to again. I played a lot of 3.X, a little AD&D 2E, and still haven't managed a game of 4E.

Perhaps, haven't run an online TTRPG since my EFnet days about 10 years ago.

I'd love to play DnD but have no idea how. One of those things which just passed me by I guess, no one I knew played it and I wouldn't have the first clue how to play it over the internet :(

Every Thursday at a local baseball card store. Fun as hell, especially the diversity of the cast (a zealot to Kord, an atheist, Scottish thief, a permodrunk dwarf, a normal dwarf, a normal mage, anda paladin).

how convenient you should post this, as myself and 4 of my friends have just started playing on sundays (and other days if by some strange occurrence we are all available). I'm a level 2 (almost 3!) Human Sword-mage, and I must say this DnD business is actually pretty fun.

I play about once a week at the FLGS on Monday nights, but I try to host a game day at least once a month at my house for some friends. It's usually a Saturday that starts around 10 a.m. with croissants, muffins, fresh fruit and mimosas and then moves on to the gaming. We usually go for about 12 hours, taking a couple of breaks throughout the day for lunch (usually burgers on the BBQ even in winter along with a variety of Belgian and Canadian beers) and supper (which could be anything from steak to lasagna to seafood paella all served with more beer or even wine from the winery of one of the players).

I, like most of the group, have been playing since around 1980, including both the original Basic set and the Advanced books all the way up to 4e.

I'm not able to play Pen & Paper D&D as there's nobody around to play it with, so I'm stuck with the sub-standardly managed D&D Online game.

Still, it's better than nothing.

Same here. I had a group, but it kind fell apart while we were still rolling characters.
