I'm usually all for DLC bashing (bring back Mission Packs please) but DAO gives you about 80-100 hours of gameplay with the standard game, so I cant be too mad at them.

But I do get annoyed when a game comes out and hey, 3 days later, whos up for some DLC! Like...that should be in the game cuz you made it so close to the launch. If it was DLC 3-6 months after release, than ok.

This excuses lack of story and game length how?
Oh...I was having fun reading tons and tons of nasty talk about problems I've never seen and perfectly content to chuckle and move on...
...but 'lack of story and and game length'?? Wut?? Really?
If *that's* your complaint about Dragon Age, you really are grasping for things to be pissy about. 0_o

Did you even bother reading the whole chain of posts leading to that one?

I was commenting on the person quoting me saying that because games are prettier and more complex it somehow excuses the games (not just one game, but all of them) from having a good story or a legnth greater than 12 hours.

OK, good!! :) I didn't want to comment on all the other 'buggy with memory leaks' posts, cuz I haven't experienced anything like that, so to be honest, I was kind of letting all the snark roll past me, and that statement made me all WTF??
In that case, I wholeheartedly agree with you!

*Sigh*
I am sick of spoiled brats whining about how everything should have been in the game on its initial launch. I am quite happy for them to keep pumping out more DLC. They have released the toolset so fans can make their own missions, pump out more missions of their own and have already released 2 patches soo far trying to fix their mistakes and yet your people still fucking whine.
They are working on the issue. Shut up and enjoy it, or don't. Go play some generic rehashed FPS for all I care. I have not come across any of these broken bits so it is not my problem.
I completely agree. I have not come across these problems on the 360 and think this game looks great. Sure it has some problems, but I like it enough to overlook them and play the game. I can't wait for the DLC it will just make the game even better, and if they fix or are fixing the problems it has, so be it. A game will NEVER be perfect when it is first launched.
Really? Until consoles went online they nearly ALWAYS were.
Since consoles went online game makers have cut out QC staff and are focusing almost all their energy into making more to sell before fixing issues. I have a computer that runs everything under the sun just fine, including Crysis at max pretties, but this game crashes more than a drunk blind man on ice.

Plus, the game is already extraordinarily long.
RPG's in the 90's were typically longer than this, and they ran without all the bugs.
games have gotten alot more complicated since the nineties, as has hardware. have you not noticed?
This excuses lack of story and game length how?
im not exusing those, im saying games and hardware are more complicated thus bugs, its not cause the programmers are being lazy its just cause its hard to work with such a variety of things.

You know, BioWare really has an unpleasable fan base. Mass Effect fans can't stop griping about the lack of DLC, and here DA:O fans are upset they're including content at all. *sigh* It's one more thing that makes me question humanity.

My version of the game as far runs fine (I've beat it twice, so I think I would have seen the bugs by now), so I doubt the issues are as major as you've claimed. That said, there have been patches, so any small issues are in the process of being fixed. And I for one am happy to pay more to expand a game I like than to shell out $60 more bucks for a mediocre title. Anything BioWare puts out, I know is quality and I tend to enjoy it. So bring on the DLC. I'm happy to return to Ostagar and anywhere else BioWare wants to send me in the future.
