You do realize EA abandoned DRM in all thier upcoming games right. Dragon Age didn't have any and Mass Effect 2 isn't going to have any either.
Wrong. Every last one of their titles ships with DRM. They seem to have cut back on precisely how invasive they make it, and come closer to industry average, but so far on casual and RPG titles only. We have not seen a single Crysis or Need for Speed or Madden or Battlefield free of online authentication yet. And have you paid attention to what their CEO said on the subject of DRM just last year?

And yeah, I don't much like the company or their games. Last one of theirs I truly liked came out in 1991. They also happened to buy out and immediately butcher a game series I was fond of.
I have Dragon Age Origins for PC it doesn't have DRm
Wrong.
nor does it require you to connect to the internet to play.
The exception I specifically noted above. But, even a part of DA:O requires internet connection.
Yes I did pay attention to what he said about DRM last year.

My bad, I was thinking about this from late 2008:

Bare-faced lying - check.
Insulting customers - check.

EA is mainly here to introduce many young people to the fine art of multi-torrenting.
I had absolutely no trouble playing their games lately, mostly because I never bought a damn thing. The idiots don't deserve it anyway and it's easier to make the pirated games run than their DRM-scum-sucking BS. Only game that might be worth buying for being something nice in their portfolio is Mirror's edge... but that's overpriced so they screwed that up too.

Depite all the flack EA has taken, it looks like they listen to criticism and are at least trying to do things better. They managed to save Brutal Legend from developer hell so that has to count for something.
Actually, I didn't know that. It's nice to see them trying to make things better, for once.
They *still* overprice, though :p

They bought Pandemic and then they destroyed them. So naturally I'm not very fond of EA. But I thought Bioware made Dragon Age and EA just published it.
Either way it was Bioware that fucked it. 3 months and all they have given me is a game breaking patch. A patch that fixed none of the gameplay issues but only fixed the bugged DLC achievements. Then charged me 5 bucks for a storage chest. Claiming because I would use it alot that it would be worth the cost. And how they couldn't give us the chest any other way because the camp moves. Like they couldn't have built a place ingame for the chest like they did for the DLC? Gee my leg is starting t ofeel a bit wet and not a cloud in the sky.

Now let me tell you about Return To Ostagar for the 360. I paid another 5 bucks for it. And what did I get? Lets see some crappy armor. Worhtless compared to the rest. A sweet sword and the only dagger that has a chance of taking a rogue through endgame (and since the dexterity is broken so is it). And how did I get this stuff? By sitting through the same cutscenes of the retail game. Oh yes you are going to be paying 5 bucks for cutscenes from the disc. And to explore the same area only empty and with snow while fighting the same enemies you fight through the rest of the campaigns (although a few have different names) for about 20 minutes until it is all over. Worst of all they frequent thier forums on thier time and brag about how good it is. I don't blame EA for this mess. EA didn't make the game. Unfortunately EA will be taking the heat since thier name is on the box. Bioware fucked it and Bioware can't seem to get past pushing thier DLC to fix it. Greed is going to be thier undoing cuz that is all this is.

Did you know the abbreviation for Evil Alliance is EA, coincidence? I think NOT!

I don't understand most of the hate concerning EA, personally I dislike Activision more due to how they focus on sequels (I bet that DJ hero would have had twice as many features if they hadn't left room for sequels).

I like a few of their games, but lost much respect when it came to Spore. I was really looking forward to that!

Not compared to Activision, who sold MW2 for more than the average game price because they could

If they would spend more time focusing on quality over "MONEY :D WE LIKE MONEY AT EA, GIVE US SOME YOU FUCKS" they'd be a great company.

Though they will eventually own every game company in the world (either that or Activision will).

EA's got my respect back.

The EA of yesteryear could go f off... and guess what... they did!!!

Now they are trying to make quality AAA titles and that includes a whole slew of new IPs... any gamer who says he hates EA is just a silly bitter clown who is probably just trying to sound cool. If you want to hate someone you should hate whoever thinks guitar hero: michael bolten will be a good move. Trust me, they do.

And i saw someone mention something about bullfrog... Molyneux was Bullfrog and he has Lionhead now... i just wish we could get another SimTheme Park... that game still kicks ass.

This is not a post, this is flamebait.
Could be, I'm too passive to act upon it. But in all seriousness, if a company either forces me to buy a new console to play their games (Valve) or take away something that is basically law (Activision, more so IW) then that company is no friend of mine.

I don't really have a lot against EA, they have published some fantastic games, but the mainstay of their games are just "SPORT XX".

They need to be doing something right as a company because they make a lot of money selling and promoting games. I can respect this, but they just don't seem to be as good as others to me.

I do salute them for standing by Tiger Woods through the affair crap. They are clever, the extra publicity he is getting from the media is just like free advertising for EA sometimes.

Their sports games beat the hell out of 2K. 2K can die, we haven't have a decent baseball game in years.

*goes to play Mirror's Edge and Brutal Legend*
This. A thousand times this. EA have redeemed themselves in recent years whereas Activision have become the new most hated company in the games industry.
