I've played every Final Fantasy game, except for XI, and I still haven't beaten a single one of them. I came VERY close with VII, VIII, X, and X-2, though.

You sound like me... I love the FF games, but I always end up losing interest before completing any; Usually right when I'm near the end, too.

Or I get the urge to delete all saves and start over... (Or just start over in the case of the handheld games.)

I have this magical mark everytime I finished about 2/3 of the game.
In FF6 and 7 due to the confusing map. After half an hour I just couldn't stand another random encounter especially since i had no clue where to go.
In 8 and 9 i got lost in a dungeon (same in this fucked up dessert in 12).
Only exception: X got to difficult in terms of endbosses.

Dude, I've played nearly 100 JRPGs, and beaten only the following:
Grandia
Golden Sun 1+2
Star Ocean 3
Wild Arms 3 (I was kicking the final bosses multi-form ass when the power went out, so I would have done it...but the fight was like 2 hours of hell, so I'm calling it done, because he would have been DEAD)
Legend of Mana
SaGa Frontier (One of seven characters only, but still done)
Megaman Battle Network 2 (I don't even think that's really an RPG, but still)

That's all I can think of...for now.

I still like Pokemon. A lot. I know it's not considered that weird here, but most people I know would think I haven't mentally aged past 8 or something.

I used to be terrified of Chain Chomp.

OMG me too, chain chomps looked super freaky, and I stayed the hell away whenever possible.

I'm definitely an achievement whore, I have like 20,000 points spanning over 90+ games, while I see other people have like the same points and half as many games because they actually played the game xD

I'm definitely an achievement whore, I have like 20,000 points spanning over 90+ games, while I see other people have like the same points and half as many games because they actually played the game xD

...I can't condemn you or anything because I have done much worse things for achievements...

Although I will never resort to playing Avatar. Ever. Dear god, that is actually the single most embarrassing thing one can do for merely for achievements. I got my 50,000 by playing games that I actually was interested in playing.

Mm... I've played tons of games of all genres (mostly RPGs) and the sole ones I ever reached completion on were:

Golden Sun 1 & 2
Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones

As stated on other sites, I seem to suffer from chronic game non-completion syndrome, often times (as mentioned before) getting close to final dungeon/battles and just... dropping the game, never to touch it again (or restart it over).

Yeah.

I love the Silent Hill series, even consider it amongst my top ten... but all I have ever managed to do was get through the first half hour or so of any game before spazzing out and being unable to continue.

I can't play any Silent Hill games unless there is someone else in the room with me.
The first console I ever owned was an N64 that I bought for $14 at EB Games in 2003 because my mom wouldn't let us have video games when we were younger.

The PS1 fact is not embarrassing, I still have my PS1 and all of my games for it.

Anyway, I'm embarrassed to say that when I was little most of the creatures that inhabitted the Mario universe scared me. And by little I mean like 10.

Also the Golbat sprites from Blue/Red.

That tongue just freaked me out man!
