Crisis Core's ending. I knew it was coming. Didn't help at all.

In case you didn't know:

Zack dies.
that was what came to mind for me too. i'm not an emotional person but the ending definitely got to me. i think the fact that you spend the whole game knowing the end and the ending still shocks you shows how fantastic of a game/story it is.

Layer Cake.
Was actually a perfect ending for that film. All makes sense considering the rest of the film.

That and the ending of the episode, The Constant from season 4 of LOST.
Just.. wow.

The end to "A Bridge over River Kwai"

I would explain more, but the whole "adding spoiler" bit isn't in my repertoire as of yet.

Ending that sticks around?
NEver winter Nights 2 - Most disappointing ending to an otherwise awesome build up in the history of gaming to me..

Fallout 3 - I actually thought the ending of vanilla Fo3 was pretty epic (Although did destroy the point of a sandbox world) It had a very Spock feel to it.

Probably the ending that will stick with me the most and actually almost made me cry was at the ending of Half-Life 2:Episode 2.

WHY! I will always remember you Eli! Those damn advisors are frekin ninjas!

My favorite was the ending to the theatrical version of "Paranormal Activity." EVERYONE in the theater screamed at that.

I still get sad whenever I think of the ending of Call of Duty 4.

Griggs dies trying to drag you to safety, and you can only lie there, helpless, as Zakhaev executes Gaz and the rest of your squad right in front of you. And, until I learned that he somehow survived in MW2, it looked like Price had died as well.

It's honestly one of the only endings where I've still felt the initial emotion for so long afterwards. The endings to HL2: Episode 2, and George Orwell's 1984 have come pretty close, though.

That spin off of Battlestar Galactica because...
while it chugs along for most of the season as a somewhat mushy soap opera style family drama, in the very last episode the writers pull a fast one and kill almost all the main characters in one go. I distinctly remember having the thought "Well I guess there's not going to be a second season then."

Mm, have to agree. The movie had a beautiful ending too.

It was just that... he was all alone. Always by himself. Never anyone to share the game. A man who lived in dreams. That's who he was.

Trigun's another one that sticks with me. The last 4 episodes had me in TEARS more than once.

Wolfwood dies, more or less protecting Vash. Vash kills Legato to save Meryl and Milly. And the final showdown between Vash and Knives. "We are superior." "I disagree."

And the last line of the series. "Rem...I will continue to believe in you. But from now on, I will look into my own words." I sniffled.

When it comes to non-anime movies... Well, the end of Dogma was pretty awesome. Especially the bit after the credits. And I cried like a little girl at the ending of The Princess and The Frog.

Of course, that could be because Disney's cliche 'girl gets her dream guy' bit came right on the heels of me meeting my dream guy. Shrug.

...I love pulp fiction.
Who doesn't?

Anyway, you ninja'd me.
I don't...thought that movie was terrible. Which is odd because I love every other Tarantino film.

OT: Repomen's ending was pretty good
You find out that the whole thing was in virutal reality and the movie ended quite a bit before.

The Godfather & The Godfather II ended in a cool climax.

The ending from The Deer Hunter was sad.

Final Fantasy VI had such a great ending sequence and credits which took over like 20 minutes.

Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch & RocknRolla all have these weird climaxes when everything comes together in a completely ridiculous, but hilarious way.

Max Payne (& 2), because of the great film noir style cynicalness.

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven's ending came completely unexpected but was cool.

And Legend of the Galactic Heroes was just allround epic.

Ugh. I hated that ending too. There was no build up for that plot point throughout the whole film. It just sort of popped up their at the end.

On topic: The ending of Watchmen (the book) left an impression. As for films, I liked the ending of The Dark Knight.

Yes, I am a comic book geek.
