to be honest you could remove the "homosexual" part and replace it with ANY group of people and they still would have been arrested
This is true. I don't see someone handling out pamphlets about how all vegetarians should be hanged by the will of God doing that for very long before the police arrive.
tho I would probably pick up and actually read THAT pamphlet
Because it's funny to joke about executing people?
depends who is being executed and how the joke is told... haha
The correct answer was no.
well then you are seriously lacking in a sense of humor

you shouldn't take life to seriously, you'll never get out alive

I don't think it takes a sense of humor to laugh at executions. It takes immaturity.

They must have never seen Stephen Fry or John Barrowman. You just can't stay mad at homosexuals if that includes those two...
They don't seem like the kind of person that gets out much, lol.
See, that's the main problem. People sitting at home brooding over hate speeches instead of watching QI and Doctor Who...

nope I have none to demonstrate...

but if lying to yourself by thinking your lack of a sense of humor is a sign that you are mature so you can raise your self esteem I understand

I am not bound by such useless social trappings

sociopathy FTW!
You edit out direct insults and place in their stead a rant about social constants and mental illness?

I can see this conversation is over, lol.

Watching Doctor Who decreases hate crime. FACT.

Um... Okay?

Yeah, that was one of the weirder oppositions I've faced.

Well I currently live in a country where I can reasonably expect to walk down the street hand in hand with a girlfriend and not have abuse hurled at me.
And I'm happy with that, I'd take that any day over living in some "freer" nation where any halfwit street preacher can lobby for my execution through legal channels and nobody care because our speech is "free".

Wisen up people, just because you're free to say something, doesn't mean your actions don't have consequences. And it certainly doesn't mean that you're immune to punishment as a direct result of those consequences.

Reads like: "I'm glad I live in a country where I can do what I want and no one can say anything to me about it."

I've dated people of my own sex and I have no problem with people hating me and saying I'm going to Hell or should be executed. They can scream until the cows come home. Go nuts, guys. Why? Because I enjoy that freedom, so it would be insanely selfish to stick my nose up, pour on the crocodile tears and go running to Daddy to make them stop.

The world is full of people who think differently. I'm glad I live in a country where I have the freedom to tell religious idiots that I don't care what they think, lol. A little give and a little take. World keeps on turning.

It all boil down to one thing here...religion. You can see it any way you want, but there's no denying it. Its nothing but an outdated institution that doesn't reflect the levels of knowledge that we understand today. Its a billion-dollar industry that profits from people that need comfort and a sense of belonging.

It goes against the entire human experience, it puts you into a box and keeps you there. Religion doesn't promote personal growth and experience. Religion doesn't like you to think too much.

I feel that "homophob" is a bit of an understatment to call someone calling publicity to murder someone else in the most violent way due to their sexual oriantation.
Yeah, I'm kind of tired of seeing the phobia of gay people constantly used to describe people who are just fucking psychopaths.

Good. I don't see the difference between hating someone because of there sexual orientation and hating some one because of there race.

Blows me away that so many people are so fine with laws making it a prison worthy offense to voice a hate for someone. No harm has to be caused, no one has to care, but if you voice hatred for a group, you can be sent to prison. One of those idiots won't get out for three fucking years. Three years of the drop-kick's life because he hates someone?

C'mon... C'mooooon.

People need to suck it the hell up, lol. "Oh noes, he hates me and wants me to be executed. My life is over!" Get over it. No one is going to pass a law that sees gay people hanged, drawn and quartered. Let the idiots have their little shouting session and get on with your day. Are we that immature that we are going to make laws so the big bag bully doesn't make us feel bad? I couldn't give one shit what these idiots think and no one else should either. Because I'm right. In my own mind >_>

That, uhm. That's my home town. Wow.
Anyway, totally okay with this. I mean, if we had one race saying that another race should be brutally killed, that'd be hate-speech. Hate-speech is not okay. End of story. The fact that it's about sexuality doesn't change that.

...You know, in my opinion.

Good on the British for locking those people up. Yes, they have a right to an opinion and all that, but I feel that you have to draw the line somewhere.

No, the point is that he then tried to encourage other people to hate. Incitement to hatred. You can hate people all day long inside your thick skull if you'd like. But as soon as you start to spout hatred over other people, don't expect them to treat it leniently, that's my view. And this wasn't simple hate either: it's not me saying "I really dislike you", this is me saying "I want you to be executed, and I'm going to encourage people to think the same". That's some twisted stuff.
