Even if England blagged their way into winning, they still wouldn't deserve winning the world cup after that. Letting the ball drift past, not using the whole pitch. Very shoddy.
Liked Beckhams waistcoat and shirt though..might have to look into that style. :x

Wonder how long Englands 2nd goal will stay in the news. (yes it was a goal >:O )

While England was totally devastated by the first two goals and it was totally their fault, they did equalize, didn't they?
I mean, they can't have lost the match there, if everything was fair, it would've been a draw and the match would've started all over again.
Did not say otherwise. England failed THEN the ref failed even more. It's not Ref screwed England. England screwed England then the ref just made it worse.

The 2 goals suffered, carries has much blame has the disallowed goal. There's plenty of blame for both sides.

What about the third goal? That wasn't due to a team being in all out attack. That was Gareth Barry cock up and then a hell of a counter attack. Actually...Gareth Barry was also again in the bad in the fourth goal.

The ref failing was a monumental fail, that's true, no denying it had impact on the match. But so was Terry/Upson failing in covering up Klose in the first goal and not once, but twice Gareth Barry doing rookie mistakes that lead to two goals, when England was controlling the match.

The ref miserable eye sight was important but so was England's cock ups.

England would not have won the World Cup, neither will Germany. Both teams would lose to Argentina in the next round. I'm happy to bet with anyone who thinks otherwise. Messi and co will rip Germany apart.

Ok, so because England played bad for 30 minutes they deserved to have a goal disallowed? Get real.
What exactly are you talking about? Did I ever say that?

But they should've proven it fair and square.
How didn't they prove it "Fair and square"? It's not their fault the lines-man makes a mistake.
I am not saying Germany is at fault.
Your team is awesome and Muller is the man.
I must have said it wrong.
What I meant is "Germany should've had the opportunity to prove they are a better team in the game without atrocious game-changing mistakes".
On a side note, is that Zero Mostel in your avatar?
Yea, I completely agree. It sucks so much that this kind of shit keeps happening in football.

The ref's have been a disgrace in the World Cup so far. Someone needs to do something about it.

I have no idea, who that is in my avatar. All I know it's from the movie Producers and it strangely turns me on.

Germany were more composed, more disciplined and more talented.

England were 11 millionaires strolling around thinking about thier clubs and cheating with eachother's girlfriends.

Better team won.
Yeah, I have to agree with you.
Still, I think you should understand more than anyone else, you, being Irish, what the tragedy is here. I mean, you could feel anything about the English, but scoring pulling back from 2-2 takes some... well, skills.
For a moment, when that goal was disallowed, I almost started to root for England, but in the end Germany won the game fair and square.

FIFA fails so fucking hard... time to move out of the stone age and introduce video replays. And yeah, I can understand it feels awful, it was a disgrace.

Capello now being interviewed saying he thought England played really well.

England played all wrong, the referees are stuck in thier asinine archaic ways but Germany did play brilliantly.

Make Rugby or Formula 1 our "national sport", since we're actually good at those.

I didn't even root for England and I was 100% sure Germany was going to win. So I think it really hinders the otherwise great win.
The other thing is that I just really wanted Lampard to score (my favorite player, after all), and he did, and it was awesome and it didn't count.
That's not nice.

You're so wrong, you keep on missing the most important fucking point, so i'll put this next paragraph in capitals just for you.

IT DOES NOT MATTER ABOUT PLAYERS MISTAKES, EVEN IF ENGLAND "FAILED" WHEN THEY CONCEDED 2 GOALS, THE GERMANS ALSO "FAILED" AND CONCEDED 2 GOALS. Urm? See the similarities? Just because England played badly for 30 minutes, they rallied themselves and they scored 2 perfectly legitimate goals. Germany's defence also failed, they concdeded 2 goals too. Your comments make no sense, you seem to try and justify the fact the ref made an awful decision just because England conceded 2 goals previously?

IT THEN DOESN'T MATTER ABOUT THE BAD DEFENDING, THE ATTACK HAS CANCELLED IT OUT.

The third goal was a result of all out attack, the defence had pushed up into the box for the free kick. Along with the last goal.

Awesome game. Feel sorry for the england team, particularly Lampard, but not their manager. He said video footage shouldn't be used to allow goals after the Ireland-France incident but now he has to eat his own shitty cake. I was rooting for Germany anyway.

What I don't get is why football is so popular in the UK, we're much better at other sports. Further more I also don't get why we care about playing Germany when as already mentioned Germany mostly cares about playing Holland.
World Wars perhaps?
I think we can get over it now...

Listen, i've typed too many replies to this.

The Germans played better than the English that is totally true, however we will always remember that goal and what could have been.

I'm not going to get involved in anymore pathetic arguments with people who obviously do not understand football.

RAGE MODE ON

Disclaimer: Germans played well and it was a fair play game with no diving or cheating, which is rather refreshing. Fair play to them and i guess i'll be supporting them if my remaining choice of Mexico gets whupped later tonight.

Rooney: WTF? Most overrated overhyped waste of space for the whole tournament. Why some forumites here and england fans/media keep banging on about him is beyond me. He talks big and there was this big media buildup about how he was gonna finally score this time, and yup, it didn't happen.
He was worst then useless and you just know that only reason Heskey came on was to act as foil for him, so rooney ends up not just only using up his own space but that of another.

Meanwhile crouch, our most consistent striker and who even when he does't score plays a real role in the team+ guarantees we win the longball and any disputes in the air remains on the bench. The total opposite of rooney, you don't hear about this one yet he is our best striker, yet the waste of space rooney gets the spot instead based on "potential" and "maybe he's gonna actually be good this time!" wishful thinking. God i despite rooney with a passion, the overhyped pitbull who goes up and down the pitch barking impotently and is absolute fail.

England defence: Possibly one of the worst defensive displays i've EVER seen. David James seemed to rage at his defenders and quite rightly, even if everyone is gonna use him as a scapegoat as goalkeepers usually are with a scoreline like this, truth be told wtf could he do?
His defenders were useless and he was forced to cover the entire goal in almost ever single circumstance, compare that to the german defence who closed off angles and made shots difficult, poor James couldn't do jack when he has to cover everything and in one case, even being ganged on 2on1 (the 3 defenders being absolutely useless). Media are gonna have a field day ripping into Calamity James but he is not the one at fault ere ¬¬

RAGE!!!

Edit: Also may Blatter burn in hell. Everyone and his dog saw that 2nd england goal go in. Referee was in the perfect angle NOT to see it of course from where he was. Sooo rage worthy.

Funny you mention Lampard, he was the one England player who looked like he really wanted to win. He had some great chances and seemed more passionate than the other spoiled divas.

And Beckham... Christ man, go back to making perfume ads with your wife.

I disagree. How you can "Get over" so many innocent people that were killed because of a German's dictators ambitions is beyond me. When the final German who was involved in the war dies, I will then start to "get over it". That point can't come quick enough.
