For me, The Girl With The Dragon tattoo is guilty until proven innocent. I can't get my head around an American who spend quite a big buck to remake a perfectly good movie from two years ago, just because he's too fucking lazy to read subtitles.
Well if the fact that its directed by david fincher and written by steve zallian (wrote schindlers list and awekenings btw) then I dont know what will oh and its not a remake its an adaption of the novel steve zallian never even watched the swedish version
I don't care, not even if it was written and directed by God himself, and would have Orson Wells and Helen Mirren, eith younger or still alive, as the lead actors, but spending such a huge amount of money on a totally pointless remake which, and let's be honest here, hasn't quite got the chances to be as good as the Swedish version. There are entire scenes that wouldn't get shot by an American. Why? Because Americans are the most prudish people in the world. And it also has the disadvantage of Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara over Michael Nyqvist and Noomi Rapace (Holy Shit!) as the main leads. Fincher may be a good director, but I'm not expecting anything close to the Swedish version.

No mention of Dream House or Contagion is disappointing.
Contagion?

I think Matt Damon is a good actor and all, but really, how good can an infection movie really be nowadays? It doesn't even have Zombies to really give it an extra edge.

OT: I'm interested in Mission Impossible because I've really been liking that actor from the Hurt Locker as of late.

I have a feeling that Sherlock Holmes 2 is going to be another one of Robert Downey Jr.'s Sequel flops, and I still have no idea what The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo is about.

The Thing Prequel.

Ive seen the trailer, it shows someone being dragged off infront of everyone quite quickly. I dont think it'll be an awesome whodunnit monster movie like the original was, it's going to be bad and it has a female lead with a love interest.

Nice to see how they're all Norwegian like they're supposed to be....oh....waiiiit....

The Swedish version completely ignored quite big subplots and characters. You're also being a bigot, but to each their own, I guess.

YAY DAVID FINCHER!!

That's all that's getting me in the theater for TGWTDT. Didn't read the book, don't care to, but "Directed By David Fincher" means Warren is there opening weekend.

So neither Colombiana nor Our Idiot Brother was worth a review? Awww, who am I kidding, you would have reviewed Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.

I think I'll agree with the "Directed by David Fincher" point you made. Until he pulls an M. Night Shyamalan, David Fincher gets the benefit of the doubt from me as well.

Poor Stieg Larson's de facto widow. She hasn't seen a penny from his success beacause of Norway's inheritance laws.

I don't mean to be rude, guys, but how much money do you want to be that Breaking Dawn is still going to outsell most of those movies?

I mean, it's a frightening and rather idiotic thought when you think about it, but given... um... everything, it's a sad and depressing reality.

Weird hearing you out of nowhere bash on Glee's concert movie by saying that "it doesn't translate to theaters". It was a concert movie, it's not like they did an extended episode of Glee for the big screen or any other kind of attempt to translate it to a movie format. Granted I'm not a fan and didn't see the Glee movie but bagging on it with that type of tangential criticism is like saying that the faults of the Mario Brothers movie show everything that's wrong with the latest Mario game's gameplay mechanic.

Wow bob, I actually work in a movie store and customers are constantly bitching about how hollywood is remaking the girl with the dragon tattoo. Do you know what my response has been to their inquiries and bitching over the past year?

IT WILL BE DIRECTED BY DAVID FUCKING FINCHER, DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT IS!!!!

- Fight Club is my all time favorite movie, just a notch above citizen cain in my opinion and i have watched a lot of f---ing movies.

Summer has only just started in Washington (state) We're only now experiencing the heat the rest of the states have had for months.

After watching through Steven Moffat's take on Sherlock Holmes on BBC, it's incredibly hard to care about the Sherlock Holmes sequel. I found it way way better. Also, nice to see someone other than me loves David Fincher's work.

If you wind up reviewing the new Underworld movie, just remember: it isn't likely to be the worst vampires and werewolves movie this year.
