OH MY GOD! FINALLY! Someone other than myself gets that twilight is crap. I've read the books too, entire waste of time. I will never get back those wasted hours. Anyway, so glad to finally see someone who isn't cooing "twilight is the greatest thing" over and over. I just hope they paid you well to sit though that terrible movie. Kudos ^-^.
erm, have you never been to the internet before? Outside of the Twilight fan forums, everyone doesn't like Twilight, heh.

You know, I've never read any of the books or seen any of the movies. But the stories that people tells are good enough reasons for me to keep away from them.
I hate Twilight not for it's story(though I probably would if I read or saw it), but for it's butchering of classic horror creatures.
"The Wolfpack"(or whatever they are called) are actually NOT werewolves. Although it took Meyer THREE BOOKS for her to realize that she f***ed it up.
And about the so called vampires: they glitter in sunlight. I join the Meyer Assassins.

Like many asked before me, why did you remove your review of The Road?

Also, satisfying to see you eviscerate New Moon and reinforce my position.

How predictable, but funny nevertheless.

I'm staying well away from it, but my mind has been made up about that since a friend of mine described the series for me before the films came out.

New Moon sucks. Im suprised so many older teens and college girls go for this stuff.
I do and I'm a nineteen year old guy. I was planning to see it tonight except a friend (also a guy) who saw it last night said that although it was decent, the amount of screaming fangirls made it less enjoyable, so I may wait until an adult screening is done at the local cinema (i.e. 18 and over only). Have you actually seen it, or made an attempt to see it? If so then your opinion is fair and noted. If you haven't made an attempt to see it then what right do you have to criticise it?

And yes, I do like things like Dracula as well. I simply don't agree that Twilight 'ruined' vampires. Although for all the things I like about the series, I still don't like the 'sparkly' vampires idea.
Did you enjoy the last book where Edward 'makes love' to Bella so hard that he breaks bones? Or that she literally got pregnant from a being that has no blood flow so no erection is possible? Or that the author states that the baby has an extra chromosome that allows for the baby to be a hybrid vampire-human when really an extra chromosome = down syndrome? Or how about that Jacob will be 'tapping dat' baby when it's 6 years old because vampires age faster, yet lore absolutely states that they never age?
You make a decent point, and no, I didn't think that was good. However, is it really any worse than reading, say, a Simon Kernick novel, or any other horror novel? Obviously the Twilight series isn't a horror series, but in any horror series you'll find much worse than that. As for the other facts you present, that's just bad writing. I never said the books were well written, I simply said I like them. I also like Dan Brown books. I read these because they're fun for a b it of light reading. If I expect well written novels, which I also enjoy (much more), I'll just crack out a Pratchett or Phillip Reeve book or borrow The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy from the local library. But I still enjoy Twilight.

This is what piracy is for. Watching stuff you know is going to be terrible without having the guilt of giving money to talentless hacks.
I guess you also make a decent point. However, I don't like piracy so I would never consider that seriously as an option.

This video got about 30 seconds in then the spinning ring of doom appeared. God damn it, the escapist video system sucks.

I don't mind the censoring, but make the bleeps a little less sharp next time.

Lol, moviebob thinks hes a professional. How cute.

Take this series off the the escapist, its indicative of lowered standards and has nothing to do with games.

...Alright I have to ask.... you read the books WHY? And expanding on that, you read past the first book WHY? Also, the censor bleeps where annoying. I don't know if the escapist forced you to do that or if you just chose to, but the particular bleep you used was ear shatteringly horrible. I wouldn't recommend it. In all I think this review would've been a lot better if you decided not to take the high road of trying to find something good about it and just tore it a new one like you probably wanted to.

I think the best part of that review was the inclusion of Fawful. Seriously.

The bleeping did get annoying, though. Other series do swear on this site. Either cut it down, remove the bleeps, or find a bleep that isn't as *bleep*ing annoying.

Im not sure whether or not to watch this or not. Im with Trivun in that I enjoyed the series, especially in it later bits, but the fact that my favorite character, Alice, is almost no where to be seen... well that just bursts the balloon for me.

So if you don't like it, why watch it? There's no need to post here if you're just going to spew about how you don't like MovieBob and you don't want his videos here. Next time don't bother posting if it's just going to be "get him out!". If you don't like it, no-one's forcing you to watch it. That's all.

See, this is the problem I have with Twighlight (and, to a lesser extent, Underworld);

plus
(especially those) should equal

There should be no pussyfooting around, no romance subplot, no "made for kids" version, I'm OK with there not even being an explanation for why they turned up in the first place! It should be an old school slaughterfest with ash and dead canines going everywhere.

Actually, I'll ammend that. Werewolves and Vampires can work together if the end result is the murder of another group, from monster hunters to Mummies, but by the end of it, there should be bodies everywhere.

Actually, I would totally go to see Werewolves and Vampiers Versus Mummies. It'd be sweeeeeet.

EDIT - Also, this is the first time I've ever seen Stephanie Meyer. I wasn't prepared for that. I had a mental image of "crone that wants to be young". She's actually quite hot, in an Michelle Trachtenburg kind of way.

I don't understand the "you can't judge if you haven't experienced it" angle. What, am I not allowed to say that Hitler was a horrible person because he didn't kill half of my lineage (Yes, Godwin's law, I know)? Or, perhaps, I can't say that Putin is the devil because I'm not Russian?

Anyway, with things like Twilight, you don't need any sort of license to criticize.

Troll alert.

Reported. Please remove this user, he is an example of a low standard of posting we don't appreciate.

Glad to see that someone sane finally agrees with me :) (I don't count fangirls as 'sane' because in my opinion the crazy screaming girls are just as bad as the haters in that they make actual fans like myself look pretty bad). And you say Alice doesn't appear much? Dammit! She's my favourite character too, and as I recall she's much more central in this book, appearing about halfway in then staying as a major focus of attention along with Bella until the end. If she's not the focus of things as much as in the book I'll be mightily pissed off...

(yes, I do think Ashley Greene is hot, but seriously, who here doesn't?)

Hmmm, just let her see it or else she'll hold this over your head forever. Maybe the fairies of common sense will rain a cloud of pixie dust in the theater and the audience of XX-chromosones will finally realize that this series is some author's attempt to cash-in on the age group of women that have grown out of Harry Potter.

I've said it before this series is a joke. Every time this franchise makes money Bram Stoker cries bloody tears.

On second thought, don't use fishing line or duct tape, but a nice soft rope will do. Tie her to a chair and make her watch the 1931 movie Dracula starring Bela Lugosi then show her the Wolfman movie. Take two and call me in the morning.
