Does anyone else who goes to this website have a firm disinterest in the game Dishonored yet? I sure do, I don't know anything about that game except the scar on the back of that guy's hand sure looks like it burns and that girl sure doesn't enunciate when she sings.

I wasn't really interested in Dishonored, but I don't blame anyone other than myself not being interested in the game. Between Steam & Escapist I got berated with advertisements for both Dishonored and Sleeping Dogs, didn't buy either one.

Sleeping Dogs is 50% off right now on Steam...

I freaking love a sharp cheddar, my all time favorite being Australian Boxing Day Cheddar... AMAZING! Also love some baby swiss and gouda... Goes well with a Malbec or Cabernet.

Dishonored looks good and I really want to play it, so I dunno whatchu talkin' bout, OP.

On the subtopic of cheese, sharp cheddar is the best followed by provolone and/or pepper jack.

Best sandwich I've ever had was a ton of buffalo chicken, 2 slices of provolone cheese, and some honey pepper turkey. It was amazing but I thought I was going to die of high cholesterol.

To go off topic with the off topic, get Sleeping Dogs. At 50% off, it's a bargain and well worth the price. The car handling is a bit arcady but other than that, it's a fun 10/12 hour romp. Maybe longer if you take your time and soak in the colours.

This statement right here probably has had more of an effect at my desire to purchase a game than all of the advertisements. I'll have to really consider this now...

I'm more disinterested in XCOM, mostly because of this ad that blocks the bottom of my screen. It's nice that it disappears after a while, but I don't usually stay on pages long enough for it to go away.

I wouldn't mind it so much if there was some variety, but it's just the same ad every time.

And I have adblock but I don't use it for certain sites I like.

If anything I think the trailer for Dishonored that keeps playing is a terrible representation of the game itself. Based on that trailer alone I wouldn't want anything to do with it but after seeing actual gameplay it looks really interesting. I may even pick it up for full price!

Yeah, but closing it snaps you to the top of the page. Considering it doesn't always pop p as soon as a page loads and I'm sometimes halfway down the page when it does, I either have to deal with it blocking half the screen, or close it and re-scroll down to where I was.

I don't normally mind adverts, but that one is just plain annoying. It's intrusive and obstructive.

I first learned of the game here, and the moment I saw the trailer I was instantly turned off on it. Then I saw ads for it about 14-26 times a day for like 5 months or more and now I practically hate the thought it.

I've heard good things, personally everything about it disinterests me. I have already played every game its is "inspired" by, and the art style it hands down the most lackluster and personally unappealing I've seen this generation. I could never finish the DEMO of Bioshock because I just got tired of looking at it.

I guess its mainly due to the fact that their ARE elements of the game that SHOULD appeal to me. You practically get to play as a Durzo Blint knock off, and I love tenchu games.

But its ISN'T anything like that, and what it IS just doesn't do anything for me.

By way of contrast, I have never played Xcom, and only barely have any idea what it was before and what if anything has changed in the new game. I see ads constantly, they take up fully half me fucking screen 90% of every page load on this site and makes me wonder how long it will continue to be the case and what the next ad spammed game will be?

Could it please be Etrian Odyssey 4? I actually want to play it though I have no 3DS yet, but I'm curious how 4 straight months of ad rape might affect that. Call it an experiment.

I was never super interested in Dishonoured but I will likely pick it up at some point. To the people saying about Sleeping Dogs its really really fun..lacks polish but its just pure simple fun.

Respect for the Durzo Blint reference. Love that guy. Dishonored is a pretty great game. Level design is brilliant and the writers did a good job with NPCs. It feels like a properly fleshed out world.

I second Sassafrass. Sleeping Dogs is a really fun game. The combat and driving are brilliant and Hong King is a great city. And I thought it was a pretty polished game. It just didn't get that much press because it's a bit new and it doesn't really blow you away, but the guys over at Kotaku talked about that game nonstop for a month. Overall, it's pretty worth it especially for half-price.
