I would like to know more about this myself.
I especially agree we need to know more about how our ban histories work.

Indeed, Being someone with a pretty notorious past ban record, I feel like I'm constantly on thin ice. Even though my last punishment (before a 3 day probe like a month ago) was almost 6-8 months ago. So indeed, I think Cheeze (as much as we despised eachother) had a good point.

I didn't always agree with him either, but I must admit, the new(ish) forum warnings have left me confused as well.
EDIT: I mean, how exactly they work and figure into moderation.

Answer this mystery:

What did the steering wheel on Fred Flintstones car do. The car couldn't turn it was like a steamroller.

I can't think of an Escapist related mystery. Other than why aren't you my friend. Yes I am talking to YOU, person reading this.

I think they just thought to themselves "OH MY GOD WE AREN'T A REAL MAGAZINE" and thought giving review scores were a cheap way to grant themselves some kind of legitimacy as a review source.
Giving the review scores made them less of a legitimate magazine to me. The score is meaningless, as the game will be different for each person, and they will give it a different value, hence it is totally biased. Anyways why do people need someone else to tell them what is good, shouldn't they figure it out on their own? As Yahtzee said "Do you really need someone in authority giving you a simple yeay or nay before you buy anything? Why don't you roll over so they can stamp on the other side of your face"
Yeah, exactly. In this case, 'gaining legitimacy' doesn't mean 'making yourself a uniquely consumer-focused journalism enterprise,' it means 'conducting yourself like the richest people in the games-journalism industry.'

Because, I mean, they must be doing it right, you know? They've got all the money.
