Not just him, practically anyone who sees it.
So you are pushy, how did you not understand that before.

Oh, and OT: why do I derail every thread I actually try to contribute to?

That's not being pushy.
Being pushy is when you ask the same person over and over.

And that's totally not because of my mind control, I promise.
Or asking loads of people once.

I knew it was your fault somehow.

I've always wondered, who was the first non-staff member on the fourms. Sort of like, Memeber Alpha, the first of all who roam here.

Also, (hopefully this doesn't sound very, very, petty), who creates the badges? A lot of members have suprisingly breached some barries that I thought no-one would in a long time, (A non staff member with a fourm with 100 000 views), People in more than 50 user groups, people with more than 400 friends, and finnaly Neonbob who has gotten past 20K posts without mod wrath.

Any plans in the future, if there's going to be little awards for getting past the maximum award now?

GOD, I feel so petty for some reason...

[sub]Make the 25K non mod wrath badge Liam Neeson with a Gundam. Now that's more epic than Neo.[/sub]

[sub]Oh! And make a badge for people with more than 250 uniqe PM's called "Dear Ann Landers [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Landers], only because I can't think of any other term better than Maven. And it's related to the badge![/sub]

As for further mysteries,
Why has The Escapist started using review scores? I read the [a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/7148-Why-Were-Using-Review-Scores]official editorial[/a], but that explanation was just a load of PR non-sense about "industry standards". The Escapist prides itself on striving to be ahead of the rest of the gaming media, so why downgrade content for the sake of attracting an audience already more than catered to by GameSpot and the like?
I don't get how giving a score downgrades the review. As long as they still give the same reviews, all that the review score does is supplement the review. It doesn't make a difference, in my opinion.

My mystery is, how come suddenly the number of shows on the escapist has like doubled? Has Themis media suddenly made record profits? Has John Etheridge bought the company? Who knows...

There's this guy, right, who's title rather than being related to his post count or awesome deeds is 'The Man So Nice they Named him Twice'. Now as far I can tell he has always had that title and once I (along with many others no doubt) PM'd him about and he said that he didn't know why he had it. I asked one of the staff and they said it would be better to not ask any questions... I was afraid. Why was he so nice and why did they name him twice? will they come to name me twice next? is anyone safe? Hold me.
Maybe, after already using up the allowed name change, he asked the mods reaaally nicely if he could have another, so they let him change it again.

It makes sense to me, and explains why "it would be better to ask any questions" - they wouldn't want everyone pleading them for extra name changes, just because they let him do it.

How come Moviebob only got a video sidebar about a month or two ago, when he's been doing videos for over a year?

aww i thought this thread would be like we are all turned into scooby doo characters and we drove around in a van solving mysteries for dog food. but on topic, some mysteries will never be solved like why did the creator of Unforgotten Realms get lazy with the last 10 episodes and then drop the show until we payed for a dvd?

I suppose that mystery would be: what goes on in the editors' head boxes?
I think they just thought to themselves "OH MY GOD WE AREN'T A REAL MAGAZINE" and thought giving review scores were a cheap way to grant themselves some kind of legitimacy as a review source.
Giving the review scores made them less of a legitimate magazine to me. The score is meaningless, as the game will be different for each person, and they will give it a different value, hence it is totally biased. Anyways why do people need someone else to tell them what is good, shouldn't they figure it out on their own? As Yahtzee said "Do you really need someone in authority giving you a simple yeay or nay before you buy anything? Why don't you roll over so they can stamp on the other side of your face"

Because most people don't have endless income to spend on bad games.

Of course scores don't separate bad from good at all...you have to read the reviews to find out if the game is something interesting.

Why does AVG hate MapleStory?
Why am I obsessed with a fluffy scorpion?
Why is it that no one else praises the almighty Doomfluff?
Well, there's my weekly quota, see ya next Sunday!

Short answer - He hates this place.
Long answer - He doesn't got on the net much anymore, and when he does he still hates this place so he doesn't come here that much.

Hes living in Vancouver with his lady if you didn't know.
