Updated the character list.
Hello there, I re-worked my story a bit. It messes with the history just a bit less and I think it's more coherent this time around.

Give it a look if you have time. Thank you.

Is there any more spots available? If so than I would hella love to be a part of this.
According to canon, any single country is only allowed to have 3 active evangelions. Reasons:
- Maintaining more than that would cost more money than actually exists in the country.
- The effects of having so many A.T. Fields in one place is unknown.
- So a country doesn't just farm them and conquer the Earth.

http://wiki.evageeks.org/Vatican_Treaty

I'll get around this by just making the group a coalition of different country's evas under UN charter, sent to protect CLASSIFIED. But I'd still like to have 6 pilots as the limit, and only reconsider if the character is particulary awesome. There are 4 currently.

More players will be support personnel. That means anything from guys in HQ with the Director, generals in command bunkers moving tanks around, or people working on the CLASSIFIED.

Ugh, I've got some stuff to deal with on my end and will get over on reworking my sheet more later, I had to copy paste and quick edit some junk just to get the gist of everything. Happy New Years, and explosions as far as the eye can see.

Here it is, I hope you like it!

Name:Thirteen or Addison-13AB
Age:16
Height5'11
Weight: 115lbs
Blood Type: AB+
Rank: None
Character Type: Manufactured
Evangelion Type: Skirmisher

Physical Appearance:
Despite her thin features, she remains at the top of their charts in terms of Agility, Endurance, and Functionality. Being able to multitask and go head-to-head with any Neo-Spartan it gives her muscles definition. She is in no sense well-endowed and neither does she apply that much make-up unless necessary or appropriate. Addison also bears a tattoo on her left shoulder blade which is more of an imprint of a selection of words and numbers all relating to her.

Bio/History: Addison 13's story starts out as Addison-1, the original clone. Addison-1 had been manufactured genetically like many others to be the perfect human. Initially Addison-1 had excelled in every way imaginable and for a split-second she seemed to be the perfect human. Then Addison-1 committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a 20-story building. The exact reason as to why Addison-1 killed herself was put under the microscope as they searched hard within the Genetic code for any errors but there was none. The second Allison was made but produced the same results. This time she spoke out of character, as if there was a split personality within. The 2nd Addison killed herself using a knife. It wasn't until the fifth Addison until they found the root of the problem. A mental disorder had masked itself within the genome of material they had been using to recreate Addison. The disorders differed with each Addison, ranging from Shcizophrenia to extremely low levels of serotonin which results in a higher disposition to suicide even if nothing has happened to them. Another peculiar fact is that the suicidal tendencies occur from 13-16, the period in which the Addisons are released or prior too.

Addison-13AB has already surpassed the ages that the other Addisons had yet to reach and the scientists have been watching carefully giving her a mixture of Anti-Deppresents and supplementary medicines meant to stop the dysregulation in the serotonin pathway. It has been successful, so far.

Personality: Despite the other Addisons in the past, 13 has displayed "normal", and rational behavior even in the face of combat or pressure. Of course "normal" in their definition means cold, calculating, and offering little respite for error. She can't tolerate people who make mistakes and if she makes a mistake then self-destruction or chastisement is the only solution. She goes through great lengths to hide her own chastisement of herself. When talking to people she speaks slow, as if making sure she was saying her own words. In the vicinity of her "family" she is submissive, and whatever they ask of her, Addison follows. She retains some memories of her past bodies. Not exactly by genetics but an odd feeling she has if Addison goes through a supposedly "unopened" door only to see flashes of said room and her entering it without any memory of her doing such a thing. Not only that but there are bouts of the "other" personalities leaking through her words which is the reason why she speaks so slow.

Other: Thirteen knows of her past bodies and she displays no sign of discomfort when she is told the true fate of them. It was impregnated in her mind early on, that death was always around the corner for her. She likes to celebrate birthdays even though she has been convinced that everyone including her, is expendable.

Evangelion Name: Unit-09

Weapons: Shoulder Mounted-Heavy Rail Gun, Progressive Knife Mk.2, Mas Pistol

Appearance:

Soul: Cautious yet haphazard, sociable but shy. Unit-09 has no set way of thinking and it definitively is known to be agitated if it stayed in one place for too long unless it was setting up a firing solution. Curiosity is another trait in Unit-09's soul and it tends to go out searching for a new path or a new route to get a better sight on the enemy. It also a fan of "Shock and Awe", often destroying targets with one carefully timed strike then several which is why Thirteen thought it appropriate to have the Rail Gun.

If there is anything wrong then please tell me.

You kind of picked up on the rivalries between kid supersoldiers. The neospartans figured that they are the best of the best without having to be genetically augmented. The tank-born can fuck them up in hand to hand and the spartans hate them, seeing them as freaks. But both sides know that they need everything to hold back the angels. A sort of "Thanks, I'll see you in hell." kind of thing.

Character's legit. Rounds out the team. Approved :D . I'll wait a little more for DJ_DEnM or anyone else, and still go over a few more things with Raynoson. The game thread should be up fairly soon.

I'll do my best to combine character development [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-FcImzZ22A] with someone running faster than the speed of sound to throw a person to the stratosphere. [http://vimeo.com/12382291]

I'm still kind of new here, but I think we can make something worthwhile out of this. Good luck everyone. Happy new year.

A lot to look forward to then.

DJ_DEnM/other people: I will still accept characters when we start, but they can only be brought in during the periods when evas are not deployed- the periods the pilots spend in training, education, therapy, social interaction, and general rest in the weeks between each angel attack (and the director reads paperwork and pursues their own goals).

Prepare. Be strong. Stand.

I'm starting now. Here's an explanation of the numbers. I will also add this to the top.

Synch Ratio

0: You are unable to pilot an Evangelion.
1-20: You can feel phantom limbs and sensations that the Eva feels, but cannot move it.
21-30: You can maintain a Synch Ratio capable of moving an Evangelion, but barely. You can feel the presence of A.T. Fields.
31-50: Your Evangelion functions. Walking is possble. The pilot's senses don't work like they should, becoming sensitive in ways they may be uncomfortable with.
51-70: Evangelion operates normally. 50% is considered the minimum for it to fight. Not harmful to the Ego barrier, but may result in a nervous breakdown for certain subjects.
71-90: Your Evangelion operates in tune with the pilot's abilities, allowing for fluid and accurate movements. Feedback is harder to resist.
91-100: Berserker level. The pilot enters a trance-like state and lets the Eva become semi-aware. Operating at this level should be avoided save for the most experienced pilots.
101-120: Synch Ratio is dangerously high and begins to damage the Ego Barrier during the time it is above 100. Feedback is nearly impossible to resist- the pilot's body is physically damaged when the Eva is.
121-140: Pilots have become paralyzed or had their minds wiped out from reaching this level. They begin to lose mental definition as they pick up stray feelings and impressions from A.T. Fields around them. The Eva berserks.
141-160: Organ failure. The pilot's body begins to shut down. They must go through emergency surgery or die. Eyes of the Soul: the pilot can "see" others the way they see themselves, and may or may not be able to recognize them as some could have inaccurate or weird views of themselves. The Eva berserks.
150-199: The difference between you and your Eva has become impossibly thin. The pilot is able to manipulate their own A.T. Field within the plug. Death is almost certain at this point, from complete dissolution of the Ego Barrier.
200: Your Eva's A.T. Field and your own are as one, and you are consumed into the Evangelion.

When the Ego Barrier is destroyed, the human body converts back into LCL, the blood of Lilith that served as the primordial soup for all life on Earth in the distant past. Your character is still alive, albeit is a bizarre disembodied form, and more than once we have seen a pilot drag themselves back from the brink and reassemble themselves, if they have the will.

If the girl you like is passed out in the plug of a 500-foot cyborg beast, you'll have a lot more to worry about than getting your rocks off.

What kind of character?

(Damn, my English is horrible)
I though AT standed for "Absolute Terror field"
Okay, now my character: (nerf it if necessary)

Name: Pascal Díez
Age: 17
Height: 1,66 m
Weight: 76 Kg
Blood Type: 0++
Rank:NA
Character Type: Pointman
Evangelion Type: MP

Physical Appearance: Black hair and brown eyes, pale skin.
Bio/History: Born in Spain, he's always been an excelent student and still managed to get really well with people around him. His country had been extremely affected by the Second Impact, and his mother and sister both have died, while his father remains alive, although quite scarred, which made him depressed and his son has always had problems dealing with it.

One day he accidentally found out about Nerv and he was taken to the headquarters for interrogation and experiments with the Eva's. Surprisingly enough, he managed found a purpose and a goal in piloting Eva and started working and training hard to become a pilot.
With time, he's grown dependent on the Eva and charges into battle just because he finds it the most rewarding thing. He's glad of being protecting his loved ones and he's also glad to be a hero, but there underlies a need for revenge upon Angels, a natural desire of fight, a huge flaw which can lead to bad tactical choices.

Other: none

Evangelion Name: Unit 07a
Weapons: Spear, Long Mas Mk II, progressive knife MK II, possitron rifle MK II
Appearance: like an MP eva

Soul: Unknown
Misc: Has been seen operative for longer than 5 minutes without the umbilical cable. The entry plug has an special ejection mechanism while the Eva can self-destruct. It also looks suspiciously organic compared to the other ones, and can deploy wings from its back.

My Character: Dr. Owen J. Laurence

{Name: Dr. Owen J. Laurence

Age: 28

Height: 6?4?

Weight: 206

Blood Type: O Positive

Rank: Specialist (United Nations Corp of Engineers)

Character Type: Impact Survivor

Physical Appearance:
Owen appears to be of Mixed Anglo-Saxon and Germanic decent. He has dark brown frizzled hair (think a younger version of Einstein for effect) and (almost) unnaturally bright blue eyes. When not in a combat situation, he is generally dressed in tan slacks with a navy blue shirt (always disheveled) over which he wears a white lab coat. He always has safety glasses on him somewhere, though exactly where he keeps them changes daily (sometimes on an inside pocket of his coat, other times on his head, other time hanging from his belt, etc) his skin is somewhat tanned, an oddity as few people believe he leaves his lab with any frequency. When the fighting is on, Owen dresses in military fatigues, though he retains the lab coat and safety glasses

Bio/History:
Owen was born in a small farming village on the outskirts of the greater London area in England. His parents were simple folk, content to till the soil as their parents had done before. Owen however was different. He helped out on the farm of course ? mostly repairing the rusty decrepit tractor - but Owen?s passion did not rest in the open fields of his father, but in the worlds of literature, filled with aliens, robots, and distant places as far from his home as possible.

It was not long before he was envisioning worlds and strange devices of his own. His teachers encouraged the behavior, pushing him to explore not just his imaginary worlds, but the world around him as well. His creativity and ingenuity proved powerful, and it was not long before he was experimenting with the world around him to make his childhood illusions a reality. His Knowledge of the world around him grew, and soon his time became dedicated less to science fiction, and more to science.

Then, the Second Impact occurred. The massive floods and tsunamis that ravaged the world submerged Owens little village below the waves. In one day, Owen lost everything. His own life would have been forfeit were it not for the timely rescue by an emergency services helicopter. Like many English refuges, he fled to Scotland, the highest reaches of the British Isles which had survived the total destruction of the British Isles.

Displaced and without friends or family, Owen survived by using his knowledge to help repair the damage the impact had caused. For nearly two years, Owen survived this way, living on whatever he could find and earn and occasionally steal. Slowly, he saved up what money he could earn, and taught himself what knowledge he could, until he was able to become a college student.

Once again, Owen was able to bury himself in his books on chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics. He was challenged like never before. New ideas were born every day. And after 7 grueling years of work, he left with a PhD in Bio-Engineering, an enormous knowledge base, and a few radical theories on Bio-mechanical constructs. This resume drew a few hits from the U.N. Scientific Division and before long, Owen was working for NERV on some of the most ground breaking research in the world ? that of the Evangelions. His current field of study involves developing new applications for A.T. Fields and how to use them more effectively

Other:
Dr. Laurence finds the Evangelions both fascinating and disturbing. As a scientist, he knows that they are the absolute pinnacle of human ingenuity and progress, but the way they look and act is revolting to him on a most basic, instinctual level. While he works with the Evangelions daily, it takes significant prodding to get him into the same room.

Dr. Laurence looses himself in his research regularly. It is not uncommon for him to barricade himself in a lab for days, then exit with some new advancement in his research. While brilliant, most of the time Owen lacks the focus to devote to solving a single problem. One day he may be on the verge of a major breakthrough in some obscure topic, and the next he has abandoned the project entirely and moved on to some equally obtuse theory. When he does actually apply a theory however, the information nearly always leads to some great improvement in the Evangelions systems.

I though AT standed for "Absolute Terror field"
In the series, the A.T. Fields are never actually named, the words "absolute terror" only coming from a brief clip in the opening credits. Until Gainax tells us what "A.T." stands for, it's kind of up in the air.

These fields are the tangible, psychosomatic barriers that define and maintain individuality. Angels use it to create create a space capable for the Angel to exist. For them, the A.T. Field is a bubble of space where the Angel has a degree of control over how physics functions, allowing the Angels incredible control and variability in their forms and powers. Evangelions (and their pilots) use the A.T. Field as the ultimate, virtually impervious defense as well as a powerful tool and weapon. In the series, the angel Tabris describes the A.T. Field as the ?Light of the Soul?, a boundary which no other may enter.

In the end, nothing is changed from the original material aside from the name, which was never really given in the first place.

One day he accidentally found out about Nerv and he was taken to the headquarters for interrogation and experiments with the Eva's.
1. Nerv is not clandestine. They're in the open and have offices in every country (although what they tell the populace isn't always true).
2. They would care if he found out about top-secret things, but I don't know how you think a seventeen-year-old is going to compromise the systems of a worldwide organization run with military efficiency and under mandate of the United Nations.

Notice that I'm not saying it's impossible (in fact, it might actually be a great setup- computer whiz somehow unencrypts a Nerv communication and is arrested). I'm just saying it deserves a deeper explanation that the one you gave.

Prodigy.

Weapons: Spear, Long Mas Mk II, progressive knife MK II, possitron rifle MK II
The Eva can't carry all of that at once. Get rid of one of your larger weapons, or leave it in the Supply Tower. I suggest getting rid of the Long Mas Mk II, as we already have a sniper, but no one with positron weapons, and spear is a great pointman weapon- impaling an enemy and holding it prone while your comrades shoot from afar.

Appearance: like an MP eva
OH SHIT.

Not these monsters. With their dolphin heads and womanly bodies and metal-plated teeth and drooling mouth with red muscular lips, the Mass Produced Evas are fucking terrifying. Each MP Eva contains an internal S2 Engine, with no operational time limit. Add the fact that you might be attacked by 6 or 7 at once and that they fly like vultures in circles around you, and it's a free for all.

You can't be a MP eva. They don't even have human pilots. In the series, they are controlled directly by Seele via Dummy Plugs, and are the final attack by Seele on Nerv. Accordingly, they will only appear if Seele has become the enemy, or they are somehow stolen.

Soul: Unknown
You synch with the Eva's soul to pilot it. How would they not know what it's soul was like?

Conclusion:
There's good ideas, but I'd like to see some more refinement. Truth is, I think you'd be better as a support character rather than a pilot. Something like Kaji from the series- an older guy who's friends with the pilots, has connections within Nerv, and is able to spy on the higher-ups. The background would make sense, the pilots would have a means of gathering information, and your actions would be vital for moving the plot.

Think about it.

Okay then, scratch everything I said.

Have at it. Raynoson and Hiei82 as well. There's a lot that goes on during an operation, so you can be monitoring and analyzing the feeds, giving commands to your staff or the pilots, taking advantage of the diversion to do something, etc.

Was waiting for the other two pilots, Grim 327 and TheNaut131. I'll go ahead and keep posting.
