Ever Bought A Game Based Solely On Yahtzee's Review?

Nope, because I am completely capable of making up my own mind instead of relying on someone to do it for me. I have a mind of my own, thank you. I am not a sheep!
Seriously though, no way. I see Yahtzee's reviews as being comedy and not actual reviews, personally. I don't listen to reviews anyway, I make up my own mind and screw what everyone else thinks, if they don't like it then fine but I refuse to let anybody tell me what to watch or play or listen to or whatever. So no, I haven't bought a game because of Yahtzee. And I won't in the future, either.

Well he reviews games i already bought, and most of the time, i agree with the the arrogant pri- critic many many times. theres a reason he has the job he has lol xD
I wouldn't consider Yahtzee an informative source when it comes to buying games. He's an entertainment oriented reviewer. I watch him because he's funny, not because I agree with some of the things he says. The only game I ever bought because he gave it a positive review was No More Heroes and I hated it.
Nah. I watch him for humour and I read his written column for insight, but I don't use him as a basis of what to buy. I know his points are valid, which are often the source of the humour, but I'm more interested to hear what he has to say about a game than I am using him as a tool to gauge which games to buy.
I have decided not to buy a lot of games based on his reviews, but to say I have ever actually bought one solely because he said so? Not really.
I tend to listen to multiple sources before I decide to spend two nights of pay on a game I may or may not like. I won't make the same mistake as FFX-2 ever again (I read a review in either OPS2 or OPM2, they liked it at the time)

Saints Row II and Silent Hill II and would buy Prince of Persia, but don't have console for it so yes and I thoroughly enjoyed them as well, thanks Yahtzee

Yes, I allow someone who is in the business of comedic entertainment value to tell me which games I should or should not purchase based on his taste and opinions.

No, generally I go for him for humour. Most games I look at trailers and footage and judge it myself.
Saints Row 2 vs GTA IV. I went for Saints Row 2 because of his review. And I am still playing it today.
