Some specification would certainly be appreciated, since IMO, the entire game is an annoying feature.Kimarous said:If I mention "Final Fantasy VIII", do I need to explain myself?

For the second time in two days I find my self agreeing with you. The elevators are OK I don't mind them at all, they are way better than the stupid loading screens of ME2. Mining is annoying, at least let us flog some surplus so we can have a much needed cash injection (and why am I paying for everything, is Cerberus skint now?)Cody211282 said:Oh I liked them, mine would be the mining in ME2, whoever thought that up needs to apologize.Ieyland said:The elevator ride in Mass Effect. I don't really see the point. I pretty much prefer a loading screen because there's nothing happening in the elevator anyway. Or at least let me talk to my companions during the ride.
Well, your squad sometimes talks, revealing quite interesting little feelings, relationships and backstory. Also, the news updates, which are interesting and even on one occasion actually give you an assignment.Ieyland said:The elevator ride in Mass Effect. I don't really see the point. Not to mention that, as far as i remember, you couldn't just stock up on those pills, but had to "wait" till you only had one pill left to unlock missions to get more of them...Superior Mind said:Malaria in Far Cry 2. Every now and then having to take a fucking pill and every now and then having to cart your way across a map to get like, three more pills. Fuck, you think delivering crucial documents, killing mercenaries to save a group of people's lives is worth more than THREE FUCKING PILLS!
Only so I can enjoy listening to someone else nitpick FFVIII for once.Kimarous said:If I mention "Final Fantasy VIII", do I need to explain myself?
your child does and i think its about 8-10 years the game advancesdragon_of_red said:Hey Listen!
yeah, that was sort of annoying.
Also, in Fable, how you end up looking about 80 years old... Its not that long of a game and no one else ages.
Yea I would have much rather had the counsel or illusive man debrief me like in the first game, though I did like how you upgraded weapons.Jenova65 said:For the second time in two days I find my self agreeing with you. I find the mission statements at the end of each mission in ME2 very irritating, really ruins immersion for me.
Oh, but if you're going for an authentic elevator experience, you really have to stand still and be all awkward. Maybe a peek at your clock every 10 seconds is acceptable, but not much else. It's just Bioware and their urge to be realistic in social behaviour.PanicxBoss said:...The only problem was that they'd last for about a quarter of the ride. For the rest of it it would just be cheesy future muzak and awkward shuffling.
It'd been the shortest game ever!Ieyland said:How could I have forgotten that? If MGS4 cutscenes were unskippable I..Timog said:Unskippable cutscenes in any game. Also, the inability to pause during longer cutscenes.
To be honest, I liked them, definitely more than loading screens. I've never seen a loading screen with entertaining banter. (Metro 2033 had quotes from the main character, which I did quite like)shini said:Ever get really annoyed by a feature in a game? Constantly. Weren't those only in the PC version?BlindMessiah94 said:They did do those news updates during the Elevators, but I know what you mean.
