I have, a movie is a movie, you can't even talk to your buddies during it anyways.

Haha, I've seen PLENTY of movies alone. The 2 most memorable were 28 Days Later (epic in theaters), and Godzilla 2000 when I was 14. Holy crap, I would've KILLED for someone to hang out with during that film. It was horrible and scarring...

Considering I've forsaken all contact at this point (I so desperately want out of this town it could be labeled an obsession), I have no problem going to see a movie along, usually a couple of weeks after it's initial release, so the screenings are mostly empty and I can watch the thing in peace without having a hall full of families, tarts-in-training and hooting dickholes ruining the experience for me.

It's not sad to go alone but I usually go with friends cause' we have similar movie tastes and it's more fun that way.

I have once but it was almost sad so I decided not to again. Now, if I want to see a movie and can't find a group, I'll text one of my buddies saying "wanna go on a man date to [insert movie here]?" and 9 times out of 10 someone will be down. No shame in a couple of dudes watching a movie.

Same here. I was gonna go and ask the girl I like out. But she said she can't come. And I really like Scott Pilgrim, but I have a feeling if I go, I'm gonna go alone, or feel sad she isn't there which will ruin it for me.

It's odd to go alone. I've always seen it as odd. Now with some mates you can laugh about it if it's bad/good/whatever, but alone you just get wierd looks.

Only once, I had to miss the screening of Inception my friends went to so I went and saw it the next day by myself. I thought it would be much more odd than it was. I'd prefer going with other people, but I certainly wouldn't mind going alone again.

I've only went alone once and that was to see Terminator 3, so that was quite a while ago. To be honest, I do think it's kind of sad seeing people going alone to a movie but hey, whatever floats your boat.

I do it all the time. It's sort of like going to a gig alone. Other people make it so much more complicated.

I prefer to go to the movies alone - Lets face it, watching a movie isn't really a social activity, you sit silently staring a screen without interacting with anyone around you :)

Sometimes. Most cinemas are outside a comfortable walking distance from my place though, so I often go with someone else, be it my Dad (also acting as chauffeur) or some friends as a get-together sort of thing.
