I've been to the hospital a few times twice because I needed stitches and once because I had appendicitis but other than that nothing really serious.

A looooooong time ago I had appendicitis but besides that nothing really.
I had that too, they didn't operate because it was "too tender", they then sent me home and it had died down. Unfortunately the trip has left a scar on me, an elderly woman in the room next to me (apparently hard of hearing) was explaining to a doctor about how she had blood in her stool. The start of the conversation I have managed to mostly repress, sadly the worst part still haunts me... After hearing what was wrong the doctor said "Well let's have a look" and then I heard the rip of a diaper, "oh boy" the doctor said. The rest of the conversation was mostly medical jargon, so I didn't really get (nor did I want to) any of it...

Other than an ear infection, that was really the only trip I have ever had to the hospital.
Eeek that'd suck. I'm under the impression that you explode if not operated upon, but my exhaustive research consists of watching a Simpsons episode so it may not be entirely accurate. Doctoring isn't all snarky comments then, there's gross human body-related stuff to it as well? Again shows how accurate my research is :\

A few years ago I waited for 4 hours in a L.A. Emergency room for what turned out to be a Panic Attack, I was never seen I just left with my mom after I started to feel better...

Good thing I don't have Panic Attacks anymore...

I just got back from the hospital. I've been having severe abdominal pain for months now and turns out, I had an ovarian cyst and a fallopian tube torsion (it was twisted 8 freaking times but we didn't know it before the surgery). Fuuuun. So my parents panicked reeeaaal bad when they heard the diagnosis and insisted on taking me to the ER last night (even though I had an appointment this morning) but I'm glad they did. So basically I had surgery, and now I'm feeling a lot better. I've been pigging out too since I haven't eaten anything in two days.

So folks, lets hear your hospital stories. :D
Oh, I had one of those, they hurt like a ***** don't they! Thought I'd got appendicitis or something. That was the only time I've ever had to go to hospital, I've been rather healthy other than that.

Goddamn, have some sympathy hugs. A friend of mine had a similar issue with his man-parts; I hear the pain can be horrific. So I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better. Have fun pigging out :D

OT: Don't really have any hospital stories of my own. I suppose that's a good thing.

God, sorry if anyone has already asked and I missed it but you're ok now right? I mean it hasn't created long term complications? Hope you're ok x
Thanks for asking, haha. Very nice of you. :)

But yeah, there shouldn't be any long term problems but they're making me having regular checkups just to make sure.

Multiple times, once for eye surgeyr, then annual eye tests, then some stuff in my ear nose and throat , then eye surgery again, and then my hand, and again in a few years for more eye surgery.

Yeah i had to get stitches for my leg.

It got cut open BY A TOILET!
How does one cut their leg on a toilet?
Haha, I've done that, although the cut was on my arm and wasn't quite deep enough to require hospital. Actually, it was a bathroom sink, but it could just as easily have been a toilet.

We'd just had a new bathroom installed and my dad and I were smashing up the old toilet and sink and putting the pieces in the old bathtub. Freshly broken ceramics can be just as sharp as glass, and much heavier.

Something very similar to your problem although gender reversed. Basically my testicles decided to spin around a few times, got operated on and all is well in the world. Has happened 3 separate times though which was worrying until things got stitched to things.

When I was about 3, I swallowed a dime and they had to get me out. If it would have laid flat, I probably would have suffocated and died. So, time for an embarrassing secret: to this day I am still unable to swallow a pill.

I've been to the hospital on a number of occasions but I never stayed overnight. Most of the times the visits were due to broken bones but I developed chronic sinusitis. Due to this condition I developed pneumonia twice but the second batch wasn't as severe so I got away without having antibiotics injected in my ass. Also due to chronic sinusitis I developed a "mucus tumor" which is basically hardened mucus fusing together in a ball of disgusting crap. My GP assured me it's benign and told me an operation was not needed to drain it.

Well it was a couple weeks ago at my buddy's cottage and we had recently smashed out a toilet because the original owner used steel bolts instead of brass so we took a hammer to it, and we were carrying it out to a trailer and it slipped. It was extremely sharp and it felt like a scrape but when i went to check on my leg it was a flesh wound.

But in the words of the black night:

"It's just a flesh wound."

Swallowed a coin once. Was lay back when I was about 6, looking at a coin that I was holding above my head. Turning it in my hands, My mouth was slightly open, and I then dropped the coin into my mouth. I was an idiot at times...

Also, once tripped over a cat and knocked one of my toenails off, which ripped at a nerve. After it had been bleeding for about 4 hours continuously, we decided it was best to check it out at the A&E.

Then, of course, there were various trips to see newborns etc.
