once I met the lord of the nerds John Carmack at a Quake Con and "Id Mom" Donna Jackson too

Carmack is the coolest ************ ever, and Id Mom is also pretty sweet, she was the office manager of Id from Doom till now, I think

my camera was stolen later that day, so I don't have those memories anymore T-T

Well, I met Boney M this summer. We shook hands, took a nice photo together, and he gave me his MSN address and facebook contact.
Yes, Boney M that made "Rasputin" many years ago. (seems like youtube has removed the original music video, but here's a recent live version)

I've met Bill Oddy and he's just as lovely as I thought he'd be (we got his autograph and we told him a joke about Magpies that he liked cos in one of his books he makes a joke about if you can't recognise a magpie take up train spotting).

Also, just last week I met Vicount Monkton of UKIP fame and Labor MP Chris Bryant. The Vicount was what I expected and the first thing Chris Bryant said to me was he didn't like my floor speech (partly 'cos I attacked one of his arguments in it I suspect). Other than that he seemed rather pleasent. (This was after a University debate with visiting speakers, hense the floor speech, and no, I'm not some ponsy rah).

I saw Brad Pitt (or some rich guy who looked just like him) on holiday. I've also met David Attenborough - he opened a nature reserve near where I live.

I used to work in the horse industry. It might not seem a good way to meet celebrities to an outsider, but a surprising number of them either ride or have children who ride. I met Bruce Springsteen while competing against his daughter. I met Jennifer Garner when she was looking for a new trainer for her horses. Since under both of these conditions I had to present myself as a professional, there isn't really much to tell. They were both nice and polite, and it was cool meeting Sydney Bristow and the Boss, but I couldn't look at them that way when I was on the job. One was a potential client for my boss, the other a parent of one of my competitors.

Once I ran into Stephen Tyler at a Boston comic book shop, though. I got him to sign my t-shirt, too.

One of my Mom's bestfriend's brother is, or was (Not sure anymore) the drummer for Cherry Poppin Daddies, back when they were big with zoot suit riots. He's the only "famous" guy I've ever had a conversation with.

He was cool and offered to teach me drums, but then they went touring and my sister's father being an ass ruined the opportunity for me... Still Cool Guy, nice family.

Then John Travolta his wife and a bunch of other people were at my cousin's wedding, she married some news anchor at CBS and his family was a bunch of rich snooty bastards. Shook his hand that's about it.

Oh, Bill Clinton did a thing at Thurston High when I went there and I got the shake his hand.

Nathan Fillion in Los Angeles, he was terrific fun and a total gentleman all around.
Lucky son of a *****

OT: I've met the members of the band 7dayBinge, or however they spell it. They're pretty cool guys, and they all signed my shirt. Granted, it wasn't a band shirt or anything, but it's just something cool to have.

I met Bruce Campbell at this special talk-back he was giving after a performance of the Evil Dead Musical here in Toronto. He was a pretty relaxed, cool guy and he was having a lot of fun with the crowd.

I also met Dino Cazares, guitarist of Fear Factory / Brujeria / Divine Heresy fame. He was running his own merch booth so I got to talk to him for a bit. I have a picture of myself with him.

Outside of those two I've largely met local sports figures such as Johnny Bower, Vesa Toskala, Andy Bathgate and sports network broadcasters like Ron McLean, Cabral Richards and Michael Landsberg.

I've seen, but not met, rapper Kardinal Offishal, hockey player Mats Sundin and comedians Jimmy Carr and Louis CK.

Swedens King has gotten written a few times, so I thought I'd add to the list; I once ran head first into his stomach when I was a kid. Not sure how true it is, since I dont remember it myself. Have gotten the story told to me by my mother.
Other than that... Well, I met Brian Robertson(ex guitarist of Thin Lizzy) at a Led Zeppelin tribute event. He asked for my name and after repeating "Daniel" several times he just called me Camien and went.
Also seen a few while sitting in the audience for some TV-shows. Most notable is Rowan Atkinson I suppose. Short, boring and a huge head!

Don't care much about celebrities though.

I met John Barrowman once. He burped in my face, but he bought me lunch, so I'll forgive him.

This time.

and Noel Fielding, he didn't burp in my face, just said I had a cool hat.

Good times.

My father worked on two Jackie Chan films while I was around the age of 8, and I met him on set. He's quite a friendly guy.
I also met Jane Goodall when she came to my High School for a lecture.

I've met a couple classic stars over the years:

Loretta Swit - "Major Houlihan" from M.A.S.H.

Cloris Leachman - "Frau Blücher" from Young Frankenstein

Linda Hunt - Very famous little old woman... but also starred as voice-over/narrator in God of War games.
