Hmm, let's see. When I was much younger and my mother was in her mid-life crisis "Groupie" phase I met the members of Better Than Ezra (a band none of you have probably ever heard of) and still have a black-and-white picture of li'l me and their frontman Kevin Griffin doing a rockstar pose at the camera.

More recently I've also talked to Carrol Shelby of "Ford Shelby Mustang" fame a few times. He's possibly one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Funny as hell, too.

And I swear to God I met Ellen Muth (Georgia Lass from Dead Like Me) in passing in a casino once.

I've met Gerard Way (Singer of MCR: 4 times- 3 at comic book signings and once before a show), Frank Iero (Guitarist from MCR: at a show), Alicia Way (bassist), Jon Rivera (comic book artist), Ricky Rebel (local singer here in LA), Marc Webb (he directs a lot of music videos [notably: I'm Not Okay (I Promise), Teenagers, Miss Murder, Waiting]) &...I think that's it. Oh, John Roecker too (directed Heart Like a Hand Grenade & Live Freaky! Die Freaky!).
Gotta say, they're all very nice people. Very huggable too.

Well, I got to shake Henry Kissinger's hand, and I had a night out drinking with the Bloodhound Gang. 'Twas beyond awesome.

Well there used to be a girl on one of the many British soaps on T.V who came and lived in Barnsley and I used to see her quite a bit when walking around or just going to the chippy. Don't know if she's still acting or what soap... Never even really talked to her but I knew who she was.

Aside from that, back when my Great Grandfather was alive, he was good friends with Charlie Williams and he used to come up for dinner to his house... So we'd sometimes have dinner with him... Though they both died a long time ago and I was way too young to really remember much of it. That being said, I'm doubting Charlie William really counts as some one famous. He was a stand up act on The Comedians and a football player, common as muck. Also one of the first black people on T.V in England... However other then that, he really didn't do much else and I'm doubting many know of him... Even people in Barnsley.

Brian Glover was one of my Grandmothers teachers at school though. And they've met Jasper Carrot a few times. My other Grandparents have also met Patrick Stewart on more than one occasion.

Edit:Also, my old Thai Boxing instructor as a page on wikipedia if that counts.

I met Shia Labeouf and Micheal Bay. I was an extra during the college scenes of Transformers 2.

Micheal had this sense of self-rightiousness about him, though he was a nice guy. Shia chain smoked every chance he got. I did not take him for a smoker so that threw me off. Kevin Dunn and Julie White, the ones that play Sams parents in the movie were there as well. They were quite hilarious, and it was even more fun to see them in action.

I once met Ralphie May (the runner-up in the first season of Last Comic Standing) after he did a stand-up routine.

And by "met", I mean "had him sign a t-shirt".

You know how fat that guy looked on TV? He's WAAAAAAAY fatter in person. Seriously, I'm a pretty big dude, and he's like 3 of me. I guess that whole "the camera adds 10 pounds" thing works in reverse for him.

No kiddin I was at a convention and got to pee next to Deforest Kelly (Bones, Dr. McCoy, Star Trek) and I exited the bathroom and saw a number of groupies, including my own sister on her knees howling in excitement and she screamed get back in there and get his autograph!!!. I asked for it, but he just patted me on the head and said maybe later.

Later, Sulu (George Takei) gave Jelly beans to kids, including me at the time. I was maybe 14 and it was around Easter 1977.

I sold some comic books to Billy Mummy (Will Robinson Lost in Space) and he was largely being nice to me. Good fella.

Harlan Ellison was an Ahole to me, but, he is still a miracle to nerds over all. I forgive him.
In fairness, he said he wouldn't answer questions, but, when you attend a covention, answer some dang questions!
Ellison can be a little prickly. I think he does better when it's just him giving a talk and doing a signing afterwards. At least that was my experience. And yeah, he's one of those people that has done so much fantastic work, I'll forgive him for all kinds of bad behavior.

Not sure if it counts, but I met Forrest Griffin, and he trained at the martial arts center I go to. He was insanely tall, and incredibly muscular. Nice guy, though.
Ross Pearson used to train at my gym, he is pretty cool. I have also met Paul Gascoigne, (in Sunderland Wacky Warehouse when i was a kid, I got his autograph and almost got into a fight with one of his kids) Noel Fielding and Kevin Smith.

The only one I've met of note is Johnny Yong Bosch, a.k.a. fucking Adam Park from Power Rangers. He did the voice of one of the main characters from DMC4 and he signed some of my stuff. :D

My friends hate me now.

Do voice actors and the sort count?

I think he wrote stories that inspired Terminator. He also personally knows Neal Adams and is amajor cheer leader for him. The man has taste. You've seen him at conventions?

Guy Lafleur, Chris Chelios, Herb Gray, and Chris Simon are the only famous people I have ever met, and they were all class acts.
