what is that game about, and what kind of game is it?

shit sorry i forgot to put the descriptions on, my bad. think of it like an isometric grid version of metroid. you play a women who must traverse a base infected with monsters by getting powerups and solving puzzles all the while your slowly dying from the infection.
its an immensely fun game (if you like the genre) but there are a few problems but nothing major. i think the biggest problem is its unlikely there will ever be a sequel

it really is, theres a weird difficulty curve to it aswel, the beginning can be really hard then get easy then starts to kick your your ass for a few zones ha. its cheap aswel, i got it for £4 about half a year ago

How about dragon quest 9? I was first thinking it wasn't going to be good (especially in those adverts here in england, basiclly the people from x factor saying stuff about the game to appeal to the casuals) but I enjoyed it in the end.

Dragon Quest 9 is an amazing game, up there with with final fantasy 7 in my eyes.

As the 3ds arrives, I am happy to know that this means ds games are going to be cheap, but in time will be harder to find.

I own all the ds instalments of the main pokemon series escept heart gold/ soul silver, the first pokemon ranger game, retro game challenge, kingdom hearts 358/2 days, the world ends with you (best ds game ever), tingle's rosey ruppeland, both zelda games, the game & watch collection, kirby squeak squad and super star ultra, mario 64 ds, gta, mario and luigi: bowsers inside story and mario cart ds.

I plan to get chrono trigger, phantasy star 0, ninja guiden: dragon sowrd, super scibblenauts, kingdom hearts Re:coded, and okamiden (all with in good time ofcorse).

so what should I get, why should I get it, and what kind of game is it?

I don't actually have a DS, but Shantae: Risky's Revenge looks really fun and has gotten praise more or less across the board. And most of the big Nintendo franchises have their portable iterations if you're interested, but I'd check out review scores first; Metroid Prime: Hunters was apparently not great, at least according to some.

I'm gonna say Knights in the Nightmare. I really enjoyed that game, and if nothing else, I'm pretty sure it's unique (blatantly ignoring the port to PSP of all things...).

Gameplay-wise, it's a little difficult to describe. It runs entirely off the touch screen, qwhere you control a Wisp, moving it across a map and giving orders to your units, all the while dodging a whole plethora of projectiles fired across the screen from enemy units. I found it far more fun than I suspect I've described though...

I would say the pheonix Wright series, the first 3 anyway. Great games. Also, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is an oft-overlooked gem. Also, Dragon Quest 9 and maybe one of the Final Fantasy remakes.

Oh and you should really get HG or SS. I realize they are remakes, but they added a lot of stuff while keeping the original feel to it. Hell, they even give you an item so you can listen to the retro music instead of the remade versions. I would consider getting it, even if you still have the original Gold, Silver, or Crystal.

No. (at least according to GameFAQ's. I've never tried it) The closest thing they have is a 99 lives glitch.

This glitch will allow you to obtain 99 lives. In order for this to work, you must have zero lives left, and die at the same time you get an extra life. The best way to do this is by killing the mini boss of level 1 because that usually gets you an extra life. Get hit by one of the fireballs it drops down on you the instant you destroy it.
