All the cool kids hate on MW2... though I can kinda see why, it's still a great game.

Also Borderlands. Wat?

Deus Ex: Invisible War - I could go on for ages about this game but in a nutshell I just got loads of enjoyment out of it whilst everyone else berated it for not being like the first
It wasn't a bad game, but it was a pretty big step back. It's derided for being one of the worst offenders of dumbing down for the console. Smaller levels, less complexity, and I remember it being considerably shorter than the first. There were also a couple of major bugs in the PC version where it became impossible to advance, so you had to replay from an earlier save and hope the next part of the level activated this time.

Taken entirely on its own merits, it's a pretty good game. But as part of the Deus Ex franchise, it's pretty bad.

I'd have to say [PROTOTYPE]. It's a damn good game, but it gets flak because the developers cared about their game enough to delay it. Sadly they delayed to around the same time that inFamous was coming out, which in itself shouldn't have hurt anything because inFamous is pure shit without even a single kernel of corn to salvage from it.

However, I've underestimated how much people love shooters, no matter how bad (and inFamous is a REALLY BAD shooter), in favor of a game with even the slightest glimmer of originality in it. You would think with great third person shooter titles like Uncharted and Gears of War out there on the market, crap like inFamous would still get called out for being crap, but nope. All shooters get a pass these days, no matter how awful.

So, yeah. [PROTOTYPE] got the shit end of that stick somehow, but fuck the critics. [PROTOTYPE] is an awesome game and if you would rather play another fucking shooter instead, have fun with the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops. Hey, at least it'll be better than inFamous, not that you'd notice the difference as long as you get to shoot stuff.
Those two games are a bit funny, because the things I think Infamous does well, Prototype does poorly... and vice versa. Prototype has way cooler powers and it's tons and tons of fun to play... but it's also way over-powered. Infamous has is a much more challenging game, but typically because the powers aren't that interesting. Prototype's story has you wondering what's going on, but no characters you even remotely care about... while Infamous' story is fairly predictable but filled with likable characters. Infamous has side missions that you'd probably end up playing, while Prototype has side missions that you'll play until you max out your super-powers because they're all just tests of skill.

I bought and enjoyed both games, but I made sure to play Infamous first, because I knew the powers weren't nearly as much fun.

The people who are saying "Kingdom Hearts" are living in the wrong place. Where I come from, seeing people walking around in Kingdom Hearts shirts is fairly common.

Anyway, for me, it would have to be Quest 64. I keep trying to understand why it's so underrated. Was it ahead of its time with its unique RPG system? Was it the fairly incomprehensible storyline? Was it just so damn awesome that it made people's heads explode, and they didn't like losing their heads?

It's all just too much for me.

I'm kind of surprised there haven't been anyone mentioning Deadly Premonition, since that was probably the best gaming experience I've had this year.

Digging back a few years, I also really enjoyed Rule of Rose. Maybe I'm just a sucker for terrible survival-horror games?

Alright, alright. I'll be serious. The Fable series. I enjoyed Fable (and TLC) and Fable 2 and still play both now and then. Every gamer I know, with the exception of two, are boycotting Fable 3 due to the "suckage" of Fable 2 and the "oldness" of the original Fable.

Off-topic: 2 days. Can't wait! :D
lol yeah man im with you i got it preordered and ready:)

OT: ok i gotta go with TOO Human its pretty fun once you hit the higher levels. im kinda hopeing they at least do DLC for it cause its got a pretty interesting story though i tend to not listion when thor talks:)
