Everybody hates this game...but you don't see why.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. People complain that it is dumbed down, but I do not see it (and this is coming from a Morrowind veteran!). Also, Halo 3: ODST. Better campaign than 3 + excellent new multiplayer mode + the same excellent Halo 3 multiplayer + new maps. I see no problem here.

I'd have to say [PROTOTYPE]. It's a damn good game, but it gets flak because the developers cared about their game enough to delay it. Sadly they delayed to around the same time that inFamous was coming out, which in itself shouldn't have hurt anything because inFamous is pure shit without even a single kernel of corn to salvage from it.

However, I've underestimated how much people love shooters, no matter how bad (and inFamous is a REALLY BAD shooter), in favor of a game with even the slightest glimmer of originality in it. You would think with great third person shooter titles like Uncharted and Gears of War out there on the market, crap like inFamous would still get called out for being crap, but nope. All shooters get a pass these days, no matter how awful.

So, yeah. [PROTOTYPE] got the shit end of that stick somehow, but fuck the critics. [PROTOTYPE] is an awesome game and if you would rather play another fucking shooter instead, have fun with the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops. Hey, at least it'll be better than inFamous, not that you'd notice the difference as long as you get to shoot stuff.

does the game world time sync up with real world time? So everything would take place at night if I played it at 9:00?

Thankfully no. You just find a little hut and go to sleep in the game for as long as you want. I think the game's day / night cycle is only a fraction of reality, so if you play for a while you would see it go from day to night. You just speed the process up by 'sleeping'.

KOTOR 2.

NOT everyone hates the game. A lot of people are in the same boat as me and believe it is a perfect improvement on the first and easily the better game.

But in so many posts that involve the KOTOR games, many jerks bash the second game so badly like if it ruined their lives or something.

They complain about bugs and glitches, which is strange because I never encountered anything like that. I played it on the Xbox so if all those complaints come from the PC version, then blame that shitty port instead of the game itself.

As for the ending, YEAH IT DID SUCK! IT WAS COMPLETELY INCONCLUSIVE! BUT SO WHAT!? The rest of the game was so fucking awesome I forgave that part and merely brushed it off as a nasty bump rather than a total fuck up on the entire game.

Agrees, I even prefer it to 7 that most (newer fans to the serie) see as the best FF game (though old fans say 6 is the all time best). I just had such more feeling to the main character in 8. Yeah ok the romance got a little pushed unto you but it wasn't that bad(at least the females were cuter then Tifa(yes i have a very very big dislike to Tifa).

It's more exclusive to this site, but the Halo series. I've always had fun with them, and I've found the story and characters interesting.

In general, though, I'd say Mercs 2. I had boatloads of fun with it just going around finding all the different ways I could break things. RF Guerilla falls under this as well.

Wow I forgot Wet. For me it plays as a combination of stranglehold and mirror's edge only I enjoy wet so much more. Yes the base training levels in between is weird, the qte for boss fights is weird (only really frustrating part was the plane part (have to remember every piece to do that part correctly(almost snapped my controller in frustration). I love to keep using acrobatics to slow time to kill everyone and string together good combo's

Well, that was over 3 years ago and by now Ive actively played about 12000 hours of it (srsly).
Ive played other MMOs like Dragonica, Aeon, Guild Wars, WoW and I found them all to be utter shit in comparison..

InFamous is my number 1 choice
Had an awful lot of people saying "get Prototype instead", so I did...Prototype was pure shite. Not the shite with little nuts of fun and sweetcorns of greatness...Just shite through and through

InFamous is better all around. Gameplay is better, side missions have a point, visuals are better, isnt as emo as Prototype and is just generally great

for me, Prototype was an underappreciated gem that just needed some small gameplay and story elements tweaked and it would have been the perfect superhero/villian sandbox game. but unfortunately some REALLY frustrating things like cheap enemies and a story that didnt tie in well with the gameplay were noticeable flaws.

im disappointed the game wont be getting a sequel... which is why i need to make one myself (deal with it)

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic

Can't really say anything different from the above: understood the flaws, still liked the game. I liked the combat and loved some of the setpeices (like when you first go the city of Stonehelm. I found that part really atmospheric).

The word everybody is not particularly applicable here, but the massive hatred for MW2 on here has always left me perplexed and shocked.

And, yes, I've played the PC version.

Also, the next gen Double Agent. Haven't experienced a single bug.

I also didn't mind MW2. I put it in the "loved too much by the fanboys, hated too much by the haters" pile (along with Family Guy and World of Warcraft).
