I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and take you seriously...MetallicaRulez0 said:Maybe I just don't "get it", but why is this game so great? The combat looks atrocious, just as it has been in every Elder Scrolls game.

Plus! Finishing moves! Did you see him stab that dude through the neck!DaHero said:I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and take you seriously...MetallicaRulez0 said:Maybe I just don't "get it", but why is this game so great? Take a closer look, the reaction of the enemy matches the impact of the weapon. Weapons are going to do real damage, have real weight, and allow for actual fighting, not RPGish swing for magic damage. Add that for the first time in Elder Scrolls history, you can do more than fight, you can actually LIVE in the world.
The combat is fine by me. It's simple and easy to grasp.MetallicaRulez0 said:Maybe I just don't "get it", but why is this game so great? The combat looks atrocious, just as it has been in every Elder Scrolls game.

How can you not see a dragon pick up a giant and fling him like a rag doll (see what I did there)?
Anyone else kind of scared of dragons?
The Combat looks at least a lot better than the previouse games. But elderscrolls has never been about combat. Elderscrolls is about adventuring and RPGing in a wide open fantasy land^^ If you just wanna fight, the elderscrolls series might not be for you =PBurningsok said:The combat is fine by me. It borders on the absurd, seriously that was the Xbox 360, not some high-end show PC. I can't wait...Burningsok said:The combat is fine by me. It seems to be an aquired taste for some people. RPG's like this are most attractive to people who need a decent level of action, but also want the main character to do things like they would in real life (or would like to do in real life). For me at least, it's like when you're watching an action show or film, and the main character is fighting wolves and using a sword when he knows magic, and you're just screaming to yourself "use your freaking fireball! you have a perfect shot!", well now you can make him use the fireball, so he doesn't seem like such an idiot that doesn't know how wonderful a weapon magic is compared to a cheap sword, and I'm also getting to press buttons, so double win!MetallicaRulez0 said:Maybe I just don't "get it", but why is this game so great? Well, The Elder Scrolls games aren't for everyone, I guess. I didn't like Fallout 3 much, but I loooved Oblivion.MetallicaRulez0 said:Maybe I just don't "get it", but why is this game so great? The combat looks atrocious, just as it has been in every Elder Scrolls game.
